The house itself is nice, except for the missing extractor hood, I didn't like the resting place in front of the house, there are trash cans nearby, I would have been happy about a small welcome gift, a second time is out of the question for me. I didn't rate the lake, just the monastery.

Dear Mr. Höppner, Thank you for the friendly welcome and the uncomplicated approach to our “extra sausage” regarding the Whitsun weekend. De Hardt and de Höll are wonderful, exceptional, clean, cozy and equipped with everything you need. We recovered well and felt very comfortable. Thank you also for your trust regarding the tally sheet etc. We can now enjoy your honey for a few more weeks.We can recommend the restaurants by the lake. We enjoyed jogging around the lake, cycling on the dream path, trips to Maria Laach, Ahrtal, Monreal, etc.All the best to you and your wife and always nice guests. Best regardsG. Frieten and A. Düber

The apartment is beautiful and renovated with a lot of effort. The beds are comfortable with good mattresses. Unfortunately the kitchen is missing an extractor hood and the fire alarm in the living-dining area has gone off.We are charged €4 for a broken glass (outrageous). There are no flies/mosquito screens throughout the house. Blackout blinds are missing (negative with children). Not enough towels for a stay of 9 days. There was 1 shower towel and 2 hand towels per person. Unfortunately there are no shopping options available. The bakery in the village is closed on Sundays. 2 restaurants in the area are very fully booked and expensive. The forest lake in Rieden could use some cleaning. Not suitable for small children or non-swimmers.

We were in this holiday home for the second time, this time in Haus Hardt.We liked it even better than last time. Everything is very nice and tastefully decorated.Very good mattresses, great bathroom and a cozy kitchen with living area.The peace and quiet, especially at night, is wonderful.Since the service in the pizzeria by the lake is simply terrible, we picked up the pizza and pasta one evening and had a good time outside on the terrace when the weather was good.Drinks are available in the apartment for very little money. (Water, beer and wines)We also enjoyed using the very good Wille sauna again, in the room right next to the living room. We will definitely visit this house again.

Great house! Highly recommended. We didn't miss anything. Super well maintained and clean. The duvets filled with sheep's wool were a dream. The sauna also worked great - even with great fragrant infusions.The owner is super nice. He invited the children to feed the sheep with him.Bread rolls with Aunt Emma are available in town on weekdays.A great weekend to relax with the family.By the way, up to 10 people can stay in the house.
