The youth hostel offers a lot of adventure in a simulation of a new type of prison! The rooms are modernly equipped with a special smell and the real life of a prisoner - particularly noteworthy is the shower without a door, but with frosted glass for that certain touch of privacy, while the beds offer an extra nice view right into it. This provides extra comfort and makes showering a new experience that makes the room setup truly unique. The uniqueness is also evident in the beds, as you sleep better when drunk than when sober. Playing hide and seek in the hallways was great and fun, and if you find the secret door to the tower, you will be rewarded with a breathtaking view that the not bad looking building offers. The elevator has also been tested extensively and has proven to be very reliable, even if you sway a bit.Sleeping after 10 p.m. is a well-intentioned recommendation that is often ignored. This way it stays lively and you get to know your roommates quickly and can fully enjoy the night! The chef is... special. It seems like he's either having a big problem with his period or with his job, because the food is a wild mix of everything he could buy or had in stock a month ago. Unfortunately, it often remains questionable whether he would ever try his own food because the appropriate ingredients are defined differently. But hey, when it comes to food, the words “adventure and delicacy” take on a new meaning here!

Except that there is no door in the bathroom that you can lock while showering, it's okay. Hiding and riding the elevator is super nice and brings a lot of fun. However, the cook somehow has a problem with people and therefore often freaks out (both with adults and with 7th graders). The food is also mixed from all 5 days we were here.

It's so disgusting because I was there at the weekend, now I'm sick, the food didn't taste good, 4 other people are sick where I was there, I definitely don't recommend it

The staff is very unfriendly and the food is just disgusting. You also have no privacy in the rooms because there are always two rooms connected to each other and there is only one bathroom. It feels like you are in a prison. I can't recommend this

Staff is very rude and the rooms are designed like an institution. Privacy in the rooms is apparently also a foreign concept. But the view is very pleasant.

Very nice staff, the food is fresh, varied and plenty. The WiFi is very weak at a maximum of 10 Mbit/s and is sometimes not available if there are many visitors at the same time. The proximity to the Swiss border means there are many connections in their telephone networks, so caution is advised when making calls. For security reasons, the automatic telephone network search can also be deactivated.

The youth hostel is beautifully located on the mountain. You have a great view from many rooms. Unfortunately not from all of them. The youth hostel itself would be in need of renovation again. Everything is a bit older and no longer in the best condition. In particular, the really small and narrow bathrooms are not particularly cleverly designed and don't even have doors, which is very uncomfortable when you want to shower or change clothes. The cleanliness was ok. The bathroom would be pretty clean, the rooms would be a bit dusty, especially under the beds, and the shared toilets could also be cleaned more often.Unfortunately, everything is very permeable to noise, which can be really unpleasant. However, there are many larger rooms that are well suited for events.Unfortunately, the food can really be improved. Suddenly there was a dumpling in our lasagne and the taste was just the same. The staff isn't necessarily totally unfriendly, but they could be a little friendlier and more approachable from time to time. However, there were no other major problems during the stay.

If you're looking for unfriendly staff and prison-like rooms without any privacy, this is the place for you. The architecture resembles an institution and if you don't expect this bottomless clairaudience you might think that the neighbors' conversations are the walls talking to you. My personal highlight regarding the lack of privacy is the lack of a bathroom. The sink in the middle of the room underlines this prison atmosphere and the mere privacy of poor frosted glass when showering contributes exponentially to the loss of one's sanity. Finally, you can of course also pay to tidy the rooms yourself and only clean the rooms so that the reception complains about their two hours of work a day.A pure imposition

No WiFi upstairs, the network is stupid, in the middle of nowhere, the shower has no door, the walls are made of cardboard, there are bugs all over the place, the heating doesn't work properly and the food isn't that good.

My daughter was there in the school camp with her class and she really enjoyed it! The food was very good and the staff was also very friendly and helpful. She would go there again at any time.
