We booked this hotel for 4 days with half board. The price-performance ratio is okay. The staff is always friendly. It's not a luxury hostel. As described by others, a bit older, but everything is clean and in order. At least in our room. We had a room with a dog. This was very welcome. The hotel is very conveniently located. You can start hiking straight away. If you want to go by car, there is a lot to explore and discover in the area. The food on half board was good. There are no stars or gourmet food, which some people might assume. A 3 course menu for dinner. Home cooking. For breakfast there is a buffet with different types of bread and sliced rolls. Different types of sausage and cheese. As well as juice, milk, quark, yoghurt, many sweet spreads and muesli. You have to order ham and hot dishes. In the evening you can still linger in the beer hall.We had a lovely time here. Clear recommendation.

Nice, although outdated hotel, but that doesn't detract from the hotel's charm. The owner and employees are super nice and accommodating and requests are listened to and implemented if possible. We booked for five nights. The breakfast in buffet form was more than sufficient... rolls and many different types of bread as much as you wanted, as well as different types of cheese and a wide selection of sausages, muesli and sweet spreads. You could order eggs in various forms, as well as fruit salad. The staff tried very hard to have the little extras ready when you showed up for breakfast. The dinneras a three-course menu, delicious, varied and the portions were perfect.Small requests for changes are also implemented here... free of charge. We had spring mattresses in our bed, which we found to be very uncomfortable. But after I put a wool blanket that was in the closet on it, it worked. We didn't say anything, so we can't say what the reaction would have been. The TV worked very poorly and watching a film was impossible. This was explained by the flood... but since we were too tired after our hikes, that wasn't a problem for us either. The hotel is close to signposted hiking trails and so our car had a vacation in the hotel's large parking lot. Thanks for the nice week

Shortly after the flood disaster, we decided to unwind for a few days. And since we were already in the Klostermühle about 2 years ago through Reise Aktuell and we felt very comfortable there, this time we booked directly through the hotel employee.Because we are of the opinion that the hotel and catering industry has already been hit too hard by the bad Corona period, and now the flood...The employee knew us from 2 years ago (unbelievable considering the time) and gave us a warm welcome. Despite the damage that had occurred a few days before, we couldn't see any more of it.Well, booking directly through the hotel is more expensive than booking through third providers, but the hosts have to get back on their feet somehow. What can I say, it was worth it, first of all, as already mentioned, the nice welcome, the breakfast was very good. Every morning we were asked if we would like scrambled eggs, fruit salad...and dinner wasn't to be sneezed at either. The first evening there was pepper in the salad, whereupon the waiter asked me what was wrong, sorry, but I can't tolerate pepper. The next few evenings there was no more pepper to be seen on my plate. We think the Klostermühle is great and will definitely vacation there for a few more days.To the complainers, it's such a great area there, when we got back from our excursions, drank a cold beer and ate, we went to Ko to be annoyed by a flickering television. and I once heard how it echoes into the forest and that's how it comes out again. We can't complain about anything or anyone at this hotel.

I have already booked several trips with Reisenaktuell; always with good “results”. When we stayed at the monastery hotel, we had the impression that we were second-class guests who had booked our trip through your travel agency. The room was very small and was in the darkest corner (room 212). For an additional cost of €10 per night we were given a holiday-friendly room 216. The television had little or no reception, which was explained by the flood. No regrets were expressed, it was just the way it was.At breakfast, we budget package travelers could only choose between thick cold slices of bread, sausage, cheese and jam. It was only on the second day of breakfast that we realized that it was possible to add ham and eggs, for a fee. We order a lot of it.About the food: It generally went like this, but the “crowning moment” was an announcement of a side salad: This was a sauerkraut salad, just sauerkraut. Available for a few cents at discount stores. Now here's the thing: When we checked out, Ms. Martina Vogel - receptionist - counted up what we had booked in addition to breakfast - eggs and so on. My objection was that breakfast - not a basic version - had been booked in the customer confirmation. Ms. Vogel then made it clear: "Do you think you can get a great deal for €40 per night, that's not possible. You couldn't provide a special service for that little money." My objection to this: I have always received satisfactory food with these bookings at no additional cost.Ms. Vogel: “Then you have to book somewhere else.”I will do the same, I replied and pointed out to her that it was her job to treat guests more respectfully. Ms. Vogel: “I react like you.” I wasn't being abusive in any way.I paid and left without further greeting.Oh, the elevator: I used it once. It's so tight that if you got stuck you would almost suffocate.

Hotel in need of renovation. No television possible, doesn't seem to be of interest as some people complained about it. The TV in the room is smaller than a computer screen, but there is no reception anyway. Dinner is made from ready-made products. Instant soups, powdered potato puree... You shouldn't book half board but eat outside. The rooms are not cleaned. We have often booked an old hotel but we have never experienced anything like this. The few staff try their best and are friendly.

They were always nice and accommodating. The dinner was also great. There are slight deficiencies in the television reception and the breakfast selection.
