We were here with 3 ⚽️ teams for 3 days. Very well maintained facility and great football pitch. The ladies at reception were super nice and helpful, thank you! Our 3 meals per day were varied and super tasty, thanks to the kitchen staff 👍! There is nothing wrong with the rooms, everything is new and great! We would love to come back 👍⚽️!

A nice youth hostel that is well equipped. Unfortunately, the communal showers and toilets are controlled by motion detectors, which leads to two problems: My child is too small, so the light doesn't come back on when he sits on the toilet. In the shower you have to open the door to turn the light back on, otherwise it's pitch black (no light comes through even under the door). The staff is friendly and very accommodating. Unfortunately, the night service was not assertive, so some groups were noisy well beyond the night's rest. The food selection isn't particularly large for a youth hostel, but it's sufficient and the price is right.

This youth hostel is highly recommended, the food and service is top and there is also a basketball and soccer field on its own grounds.Even for vegans, vegetarians or those who were lactose intolerant, there was always a delicious alternative to eat that was still very healthy. There was also homemade banana bread

The beds and breakfast were good. The rooms are small but modern. However, for the money there are hotels with more service. The meaning of JH no longer applies to me.

We stayed at the youth hostel for a weekend with a group of 36 cyclists. The advance planning was uncomplicated and the service on site was top notch. The food is great. TheThe youth hostel has been renovated and expanded, we stayed in the expanded area with beautifully furnished rooms. I can only recommend the youth hostel. Reserve your room early as the house is often fully booked.

We were there for a weekend at the end of April. My husband, my two sons 4 and 8 and I were very excited about the newly renovated youth hostel. The rooms are spacious and stylishly furnished, clean and tidy. The theme of sport runs through the entire hostel: a running track from the entrance to the reception, the shelves are skateboards in the dining room and various balls hang from the ceiling. There is a football pitch, several climbing frames and table tennis tables in the outdoor area, which is easy to see. There was also a campfire area where we could grill stick bread. There are several beautifully designed lounges and a really large selection of games that you can rent. I found that to be outstanding and have never experienced it to this extent anywhere else. The staff was consistently very friendly and helpful. The food was fresh and varied. A great salad bar and the dessert was very appetizing, served in small jars. There were still special features such as: freshly baked banana bread, Hildegard's homemade jam, etc.I particularly liked that there was always fresh fruit and a water dispenser to fill your own water bottles. We started talking to a sports group who were also very enthusiastic about the different training options around the Herrberge. There is a large swimming pool right next to the youth hostel that we visited. We really enjoyed it, the children really enjoyed the slides. The price-performance ratio was completely ok.You can also go directly from the hostel's property into the large, great park in Rheine. There is a large pump track here - our children rode there on their scooters. In the middle of the park is a large lake, a playground and a mini golf course. Really beautifully laid out and immediately accessible. We just went for a short walk there in the evening. We had a great stay and can really recommend the youth hostel

The 4th family of us stayed one night in a 6th room with plenty of facilitiesA mirror and a sink in the room... narrow and sufficient, with a view of the city parkFootball teams were guests, there was a good atmosphere in the evening with food and drinks on the terrace, children could let off steamFreshly modern and modernized hostel makes a good impression so we would like to come backNice showers and clean toilets were close to the room, on the ground floor

Great, modern youth hostel. It's all new and clean. In the inner courtyard there is various play and climbing equipment, a fenced football/basketball court, an equipment compartment for strength and fitness exercises with your own weight, as well as table tennis tables and also many barbecue benches and chill loungers. Inside there are table football, table tennis tables, children's toys as well as many games and books. There is also a large smart TV and a guest refrigerator. The hostel is in a great location, right next to the idyllic and well-kept city park with a large playground. It's a 5-minute walk to the outdoor swimming pool and 20 minutes to the city center with its large shopping center, many shops and stores. Top facilities, top location, nice staff and good food. Any reviews below 5 stars do not do this youth hostel justice!
