I was only here briefly with my bike.The location is brilliant.The shelter was very well attended. I took a quick look at the terrace - almost all the seats were occupied. In the summer or on weekends there could be a shortage of seats.The current daily specials were very reasonably priced.However, I wouldn't call it a hotel.

A great hike was rounded off by a very pleasant stay in the refuge. The staff was very friendly, rooms were great. Food excellent.We'll be back, thank you very much!

Very nice hut for an overnight stay on the Falkenstein. Relatively modern facilities, although the toilet and shower are on the same floor (separated for men and women), but that is the case in many huts. Very clean here and not the least bit unpleasant.

We had our snack here after the rather difficult climb to Falkenstein.The service was very friendly.Dogs are welcome, which is very important to us.Food and drinks were also very good.

A very nice, newly renovated cabin. We didn't stay overnight, so I can't comment on that area. The guest room is beautifully furnished, the panoramic window and the tiled stove particularly stand out. There is a typical hut menu, the Kaiserschmarrn is recommended. The staff was very friendly throughout and food and drinks came very quickly. We felt very comfortable and would love to come back.

I stayed here for one night during my hike on the Goldsteig.Unfortunately I had rainy weather in the fog.The cabin is completely renovated and incredibly beautiful! The panoramic window in the guest room is awesome!The rooms are new with bunk beds and absolutely sufficient. The bathroom and toilet in the hallway are also completely new.Unfortunately, you have to pay for a whole 4-person room when you stay alone.I would have shared, I don't mind having a mattress, but that's not available here - and I was the only guest.But the landlord was super nice and took great care of me and was also a bit generous.An absolute recommendation - whether for day trips or overnight stays!Thank you!

Great hut, delicious food, clean, cozy rooms, nice hut landlord. We ate there and stayed overnight. The cabin is clean and modern.

It took a while before we could order food, but everything was still within limits. The food itself was excellent and the price-performance ratio was great. We'll be back!

There are no fries here.. but the best non-alcoholic wheat and the Kaiserschmarrn is also quite ok..

Very pleasant staff, excellent food and a beautiful view. It was worth walking for 2 hours and 30 minutes. Toilets clean.Payment in cash only. The staff also knew Czech, which was a plus.

A very nice and modernized mountain hut. Beautiful sun terrace with a wonderful view of the mountain, delicious Lower Bavarian food and inexpensive. And a big compliment to the friendly service and the nice team.

Very nice shelter near the summit of the large Falkenstein. Great view, lots of space to sit outside and great nature. Can be integrated into many hikes, a worthwhile rest stop with delicious food and drinks.
