Silence & nature - priceless!Our landlady Jana and her Robbie warmly welcomed us, fulfilled every wish and gave us a unique time there. Like a big family, like we've known each other forever.Every meal was prepared in-house, with love and always from fresh ingredients, and very, very läkka!!!...more than recommended - thank you very much, we would love to come back!

The owners of the hotel are very friendly, helpful and nice. The dinner was super delicious. The breakfast was also very good. The rooms are large. It's really great here.

We were guests at the Hotel Schachten for a few days in June 2022 and August 2023. A simple house that is a bit old overall and therefore exudes its own charm. Everything is always kept in top condition. The rooms were recently renovated and converted into apartments.The amazing thing is the incredibly quiet location. Really a dream for nature lovers. You don't need a car during your stay. Get out the door and start hiking in the legendary “primeval forest”. So beautiful.The innkeepers are warm, very friendly and carefully ensure that every guest feels comfortable.If you value really good food, you should definitely book your room here. My husband and I love fresh, good food. For us, a very important component of a good break is delicious food. We actually loved every meal. Fresh, best quality, imaginatively and lovingly prepared. Nothing convenient food. I eat vegan and that's not a problem here at all. Just talk to each other and get a really good meal in the evening. Even at breakfast I was cooked a wonderful porridge as an extra sausage. :) :) :)I'm already looking forward to my next break in this beautiful place.

I can recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxed and quiet environment. The guests are very friendly and always helpful. The breakfast and dinner leave nothing to be desired. Dinner is always very varied (also for vegetarians).Conclusion: Tip Top, can only be recommended 👍

Stayed at the Hotel Schachten from December 28th, 2022 to January 1st, 2023: hosts very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Nothing was left to be desired. Food lavish and delicious. Will be happy to come back.

A small hotel with super nice hosts.We generally like the flexibility of half board.However, not necessary as this hostess is a great cook!!!We can recommend this hotel with a clear conscience, for people who would like to enjoy their vacation in peace.For a hotel, our favorite hosts so far!!!Karin Köhler, our dog Janny and.Donitto (Toni) Juras.Our Janny was warmly welcomed and spoiled with treats.

Best hotel far and wide with a very pleasant, family atmosphere. Super nice operators who manage everything single-handedly. Top room, very quiet, very well maintained, well equipped (including coffee maker, refrigerator, microwave!). Delicious breakfast with a large selection. Dinner at star level - with three (!) choice menus. Ideal for relaxing and the perfect starting point for hikes through the nature park, which starts right outside the front door. Top.

Unfortunately only open for hotel guests. Unfortunately, hikers are not catered for. It's a shame because the place invites you to sit.Therefore, not recommended.
