Lovely farm stay with super-friendly hosts! The apartments are super comfortable and have everything needed. Highly recommended!

I've been coming here every year since 2005. Sometimes several times a year. That seems like enough advertising to me.

Highly recommended, children have plenty of space to play and parents can enjoy nature and peace. The apartments lack nothing at all, like at home, complete household, everything you need for breakfast and cooking is there! We stayed at Ferienhof Bader for 2 weeks at the beginning of August 2020. We felt very comfortable from the first second. The whole Bader family (from grandma to the children, but especially Renate) were always very warm (not fake) and always had great tips for our trips.The apartment is very well equipped and was also very clean. Our daughter was particularly impressed by the location (it's the last courtyard on the street, so no cars) and the great outdoor area with the animals and the many play options (trampoline, Kettcar, slide, swing, sandpit, etc.).Our daughter has already asked us if we would go there again next year.

We spent a wonderful long weekend (4 nights) here at the beginning of February 2020 with our 1.5 year old daughter.We really enjoyed our stay with the Bader family. The holiday apartment was sparkling clean, well maintained and in top condition. The kitchen was "ready for use" and contained everything you needed, dishes and cutlery of course, but also cleaning supplies, tea towels, Zewa sponge cloth etc., even a small selection of spices, neatly packed in labeled jars. The apartment corresponded exactly to the pictures and descriptions on the homepage.Upon request, we also received equipment for small children, and we didn't miss anything. I was really impressed by the night light in the children's room, it's just the little things... ;-)Every evening around 5 p.m. we were able to go into the stable with our daughter (since it was winter, of course the animals were inside), where she took great pleasure in feeding the three calves Emma, ​​Liesl & Toni with straw and petting the very friendly cats and admired chickens and rabbits. We were able to ask lots of questions that were also interesting for us adults.The location of the farm is very nice, located in a cul-de-sac just outside a small village. You have a beautiful view towards the mountains!Since we were very lucky with the weather, we took day trips to the nearby mountains to go for a sleigh walk. To do this we drove ~30-45 to the Oberstdorf region.A short but nice walk went from the Riedbergpass to the Mittelalpe Grasgehren and back. Easy up and down, but still manageable despite the sledge and 12kg child. With a very long lunch break, we were on the road for a leisurely ~3 hours, about 40 minutes each way.We walked/sledded the most beautiful way from Söllereck (mountain ride with the gondola, €29 for 2 adults with guest card) down into the Kleinwalsertal to Riezlern. Except for a small climb at the beginning, the path led steadily downhill and is therefore perfect for a toboggan walk. At first you have to cross 2 ski slopes, but after that the walkers are on their own. You can't get lost either. Be sure to stop at the Bergstüble restaurant (shortly before arriving in Rietzlern). On the one hand, there is very tasty food here (including excellent Kaiserschmarren, but plan on waiting time), and on the other hand, you can rent additional toboggans (€2 per piece) with which you can whiz the remaining ~1.5km into the valley, where you can take the sledges Leave it and walk another 10 minutes to the bus stop. From there you take the bus back to the valley station of the Söllereckbahn (~3€ per adult).It was our first holiday on the farm and in the Allgäu and definitely not the last, thank you very much for that :-)

I think five consecutive years of vacationing with the children on this farm speak for themselves. In a family atmosphere, the hosts know every guest or at least want to get to know them. Questions will be answered happily and in detail and you are welcome to observe the operation, provided it is not disruptive. The farm romance that many supermarket suppliers would like to sell with their products is really lived here. There is also a great evening program, but the holiday doesn't just take place on the farm. As a rule, there are always children here (at least in Sonmer), so children between the ages of 5 and 12 always have something to do here. Yes, some dinners would have to be postponed.The farm is also in a great location locally. As the last farm on the street there is no through traffic, but there is a wonderful view of the valley and the Alps.Otherwise, the farm is quite remote, which means you have to plan an hour to go shopping. It's not a problem, but you should plan it into your daily routine.Oh, and discover from year to year. We have new attractions here, be it new televisions in the apartments, new play equipment or a hut where you can enjoy the mountain air even when it is raining.My recommendation: book!
