We've been there for the third time now and it's about time to renovate! A new coat of paint on the walls wouldn't hurt and replacing the pleats. I'm also wondering what you pay €170 final cleaning for? And when we checked in the house was dirty, dust everywhere, coffee stains on the fridge. And then you have to leave everything swept clean when you check out. So what is 170€ for? So we won't go there again now. Otherwise the facility is fine and the leisure activities are good.

We had a holiday home with 2 rooms, a kitchen-living room and a bathroom. The two bedrooms were equipped with a double bed and two single beds. The beds were comfortable, even if the mattresses were a bit harder. The eat-in kitchen was equipped with a small kitchen, which had everything but you could only stand alone in the kitchen as it was very narrow and cramped. The room also has a fireplace that you can light on cold days. You have to buy the firewood yourself. The bathroom is also slightly smaller, equipped with a shower and a sauna.Unfortunately, this is all a cost trap. When we checked in, we were asked to write down the meter readings because we had to pay for electricity and gas. This meant that it was out of the question for us to use the sauna or turn on the heating. So you pay for what you use. The staff was quite unfriendly at times, even when asked when they could enter the house they responded with annoyance. Unfortunately, something like this devalues a holiday village.

First of all, the facility is really beautiful and has a great location within the town and to the Witches' Dance Square. The houses in the settlement are very beautiful and the two playgrounds on site offer lots of fun.However, there was almost no equipment in the houses, which was not communicated beforehand. We didn't even find hand soap in the bathroom or tea towels in the kitchen. There was also no dishwashing liquid, pepper and salt, oil, cloths, dishwashing tablets or coffee filters. Even trash bags were only there once per bucket. Everything had to be bought in large packs from your own kiosk if you didn't bring it with you. However, since the description said it was there, we came without it.The rented bed linen and a towel cost €18 per person for 2 nights. In the end even gas, electricity and water were charged for quite a bit of money. The final cleaning at €170 also seemed like a lot to us, as we had to dispose of the rubbish ourselves and remove the beds ourselves.All in all, our visit had a very bitter aftertaste, which is a shame for the beautiful facility, which is not worth the price.

A nice accommodation, we were quickly fobbed off and were able to go to the holiday apartment. You can't cook great here. The street is very loud in the morning.The breakfast was sumptuous with baked rolls, orange syrup and hard, cold eggs.

Actually not bad but unfair pricing policy with the additional costs!!170€ for final cleaning is only communicated to you by email after booking, it only says that there will be additional costs, but it doesn't stop there!The landlord's instructions explicitly state that the house must be left clean, the dishwasher must be unloaded, the dishwasher must be swept, etc., which is actually self-evident, but why spend €170 for a final cleaning? When we moved into the house there were clear edges of glasses on the table in the living room and there was a mug with butts up on the balcony!! So so much for the final cleaning, which is charged at €170!!!Electricity and even water are added, for us it was an additional €240 for 3 nights without us using the sauna or leaving the lights on unnecessarily.If you really want to spend a few days in the Harz, you should look for alternatives, for example in Schirke. There are houses that are cheaper and where everything is included!!!

The rooms were clean and the house was very well furnished. There are a few hooks missing in the bathroom or shelves or cupboards in the rooms, but I don't want to live there, I just want to go on holiday. Everything is on site, bread service for example is great👍Everything is within walking distance. We 8 people in Dan 312 thought it was great!Thank you for the lovely stay.

The location is generally very good. For families with children, everything is within walking distance. BUT THE SERVICE AND OPENING HOURS ARE NOT CORRECT!RUDE RECEPTION AND BAR IN THE EVENING! As parents, we organize a child-free evening and then you are brushed off with “cost-benefit” comments and you are rudely asked to leave. Absolute no-go. The lights are turned off and you sit in the group in the dark.

We had a large house with a very small kitchen, which made it almost impossible to cook for yourself with 5 people. Paying a €150 deposit in cash upon arrival is also bad in times of cashless payments. The repayment will only be credited to the account in 3 weeks. The extremely creaky beds were very annoying. A great location, but expensive fun with additional costs (electricity, gas, water) at the end. No recommendation from us.

Beautiful, spacious holiday home for up to 8 people. However, we had water damage after showering, it was dripping through the ceiling. We had to collect the water with pots, which we reported to the reception the next day. Instead of coming to meet us, the lady asked It's not possible to check whether we had enough pots. Final cleaning at 150 euros is outrageously expensive and everything costs extra money if you don't bring it yourself. The location is nice and quiet but overall the house is too expensive because there are no basic things like that Coffee filters, salt and pepper, washing up items and the like are available. There is a bathroom on both floors! Below is the living and dining area as well as the bathroom and a bedroom and upstairs there is 1 bathroom and 3 bedrooms

I wouldn't go there again and wouldn't recommend it.Overall it is relatively expensive, and there are additional costs for electricity, water and gas on site.You have to read the meter reading yourself before and after.The staff is either disinterested or untrained and therefore inept in all activities.Overall, everything seems very careless. There is not a single place where you are not shown or told what you are not allowed to do or what you should pay attention to.120 euros for cleaning and accommodation where you have to bring your own bed linen and towels is completely excessive.I'm surprised that the car was included and not charged extra.The location doesn't compensate in any way.Oh well, the deposit, which has to be paid in cash (!), will be paid back within 3 weeks via bank transfer.

In September 2024 we were guests of Ferienhausdorf Thale GmbH & Co. KG for the first time.We liked it, we'll be back!Everything was clean, the house was functionally furnished.Small mix-ups (when ordering bread rolls) were resolved immediately.We have experience with such systems. We were guests at the Sporthotel Oberhof for several years. We often booked at the Rabenberg sports park. We have been to Seepark Auenhain once so far - at Lake Markkleeberger.In Thale we had differentiated energy billing (electricity, gas, water) for the first time. This makes sense, as it contributes to appropriate, economical and ecological use. However, the tariffs quoted, for example electricity at €0.71/kWh, are very discouraging. Even worse, given the exemplary number of e-car charging spaces. There it is 0.89 €/kWh. That's about twice as expensive as driving with diesel.This deters guests from using it.

The positive first: The house was super clean, the location within walking distance of the two cable cars is sensational and the Asian part of the staff was super friendly. But that was it.The check-in took over half an hour because the friendly Asian lady at reception didn't really speak German and was also very slow (2nd year of training, probably for two weeks). The German employee thought it was more important to clean up in the background than to work through the queue at the second counter. Then came the truth: basic cleaning 120 euros for the small house, electricity, water and gas have to be read by the guest at the beginning and at the end, put into a form by hand and paid extra. 71 cents per kWh. I don't even want to know the error rate. The deposit will then be returned “after about three weeks”. Unbelievable. The IBAN is also entered into a form using a pen and then (in our case with errors) transferred to the PC by the employee. Modern is different.Around the reception and in the house itself: I have never experienced an accommodation where there were so many prohibitory and other signs with instructions. Given the price for the final cleaning and overnight stay, it's also worth bringing your own bed linen.I wouldn't recommend it.

There are seemingly countless additional costs added to the travel price, not even a grill can be used without costs. For us, this resulted in a final bill that was several hundred euros higher than the actual travel price. The highlight, however, is that the rental deposit, which is already quite high, is not paid back until 3 weeks after the end of the trip.

We chose the holiday home in Thale again because the location is simply great. From here you can reach the cable car and cable car in just a few minutes on foot, eat in good restaurants or start hikes from here.The holiday home village has a restaurant where you can also eat well. There is also a bowling alley, Mephisto Golf, billiards, darts etc.The furnishings in the houses need to be renewed. The beds are sagging and the chairs are sagging.Unfortunately the cleanliness is not perfect.You also pay extra for electricity, water, gas and final cleaning when you leave.
