Stayed in the hotel with ReisenAktuell for 4 days with 8 men on October 3rd, 2024. Compared to other reviews, we found the staff to be particularly friendly. In the evening we had a meal included through the tour operator. This was nothing special.But for the price we didn't expect more. But the burgers in the restaurant were even better. Otherwise the rooms were clean and functionally furnished.All in all, the price-performance ratio was okay.

The positive thing was the staff, who were friendly. No suitable staff at the reception for checking in or in the evening when the room heating couldn't be adjusted and you felt like you had to sleep in a sauna. Opening the window workedUnfortunately, only to a limited extent, as there was a very annoying beeping sound coming from the kitchen. The facility is very old-fashioned (except for the dining room, which appears to have been recently renovated). In my opinion, the price was not good at all, I left before breakfast!

Having spent some time in this lovely location in Blankenburg for a conference, recommend it to anyone who looks for a quiet place in the middtof Herz forest. The location is only accessible by car and there is no public transportation. However it is in the middle of forest with nice views of surrounding.Rooms are large enough and are decorated with natural wood. The hotel is recently renovated but you feel its age as with the toilets and room design. However it is properly cleaned and maintained.The only challenge is that during hot sommer days it is getting rather warm inside and there is no fan available so maybe avoid staying in Late july to early August.However it is a nice place for winters too.The restaurant is open for breakfast and dinner.The breakfast is fine for a three star hotel quality and ofcourse with a nice view on the terrace.The staffs are nice and friendly but definitely training would be recommended.The carpark is free too.It would be nice for the management to reconsider proper cleaning of the hallway and stairs and to give it a nice refreshing look too. The entrance is rather disappointing but once you enter you feel the vibe and charming interior.

The burger restaurant is something special. The burgers are large and tasty, which cannot necessarily be said about the food for hotel guests. Okay, the soup was always very tasty. But otherwise? Goose in midsummer is unusual, but I find lentil soup as a starter followed by chili con carne as a main course extremely unusual. Tiramisu is really nothing to sneeze at. But not really enjoyable with dry biscuits. The staff really goes out of their way to make the hotel guests happy. But if the rooms are only cleaned upon departure, there are only fresh towels once in a week, there are cobwebs hanging on the ceiling, you have to struggle with winter bed linen in the summer, the room and hallway are scorching hot when you arrive, etc., then it will but a bit difficult. As much as we liked the area, we can unfortunately only recommend this house to a very limited extent. But, as I said, the staff, burgers and soup were great!

We were there to eat and it was good. Ate two great burgers at a reasonable price. Staff was friendly and nice. Interior design top. I can't say anything about the room since we didn't stay overnight. Otherwise tried hard to please the guests and be correct. 👍🏻

Good hotel above the city of Blankenburg. Good starting point for visiting tourist and scenic attractions.Simple, adequately equipped rooms with beds that are a bit too soft. The cleanliness is very good, as are the very friendly staff. Breakfast buffet is solid. Dinner at the Harzer Burger Restaurant is a special experience.It's best to rely on the navigation system when you arrive.

Room from the 80s, not very well maintained, cobwebs in the corners and the associated residents on the ceiling. Rooms smell a bit strong, setting the hot water is a matter of luck, cold water runs like a trickle. Room service beds are non-existent. Breakfast too expensive for what was offered. The access to the hotel is horrible, you can only drive at walking speed.Reception staff unfriendly.

Booked for one night.The reception wasn't that great either...At the reception you quickly noticed who was wearing the pants.Snippy and domineering, as if you were a small child.Positive, room furnishings are very old, but also clean, very quiet location.

A nice, somewhat outdated hotel, very nice, quiet location and the lady who welcomed us was very nice. In the evening we ordered a table in the Burger König restaurant. Unfortunately I can only give one point for the service. The waiter came to the table Ordered 2 cokes and they came after almost an hour. Unfortunately we still didn't have our burgers. Too bad the guests who came after us worked out so we paid for our drink and went to our room hungry

We were in this hotel at Pentecost 2024....we were greeted very warmly. The location is great, our dog was able to let off steam..Breakfast was very tasty, there was a selection at the coffee machine..Since we had booked through Reisen Aktuell, we had dinner in the next room, which was also very tasty. In the evening we were assigned a room where we could play cards.We would like to thank all the staff, they made us have a wonderful time...Keep it up.

A bit old, the building and rooms could do with a refresh, but still neat and clean, great location, friendly service, great breakfast buffet, dinner at the "Harzer Burger König" is highly recommended.PS: The access road to the hotel is absolutely borderline, but the hotel can't do anything about that.
