Went to Schimmels for the first time with a week-long arrangement - it was TOP all around! 2 things would have deserved 6 stars: the team and what is harmlessly called the “3-course menu”. The only reason to drive home quickly is to make a few visits to the gym. We would love to come back

I only visited the restaurant. Starters, snacks and desserts were very good. The main course still has room for improvement. The service is very good. It is advisable to be among the first guests.

We were lucky and got a table for two outside!Thus began the culinary journey and a successful evening with a beautiful, cozy, stylish atmosphere and very good service.We were given a very friendly welcome and taken to our place. At the end there was a “greeting” from the kitchen.When it comes to eating, you can choose between menus.There are 3 course menus up to 5 course menus.And the selection is very good. There is something for everyone. Of course, quality also costs a little more, but every euro is worth it.Since the restaurant has an open kitchen, you can watch the preparation and check the cleanliness of the kitchen.All in all, an absolute recommendation!We'd love to come back!

Very good food at fair prices. Unfortunately the service here is not up to par. Rude service, snippy answers. When asked about paying by card with Visa, the answer was reluctant, but when asked, the answer was no, only Giro. Plates are often not cleared for 30 minutes. Totally out of the question for the price. Unfortunately we cannot recommend it.

We went to Schimmel’s restaurant for dinner today. There were two different wonderful 5-course menus to choose from, in which seasonal ingredients were also perfectly integrated. Alternatively, you could choose individual components from these menus or put together a 3- or 4-course menu according to your own taste. Our dishes were fantastic and really particularly well cooked!But we were also impressed by the great, very attentive and friendly service and the beautiful, relaxed atmosphere.An absolute feel-good evening.In grades that would be an A+ with an asterisk.Many thanks to the kitchen and the entire team!

We had reserved a table from home for 4 people several weeks ago. A couple we were friends with couldn't travel because their car broke down. The day before I kindly informed the owner that only the two of us would be coming. When we arrived at 6 p.m., our reservation could no longer be found. The owner remembered our phone call, but told us that his wife had apparently canceled the reservation completely afterwards. We were only offered to sit outside on a shady, not very inviting terrace with damp chairs and a table with a “comfortable blanket”. Not a word of apology or attempt at another solution to the problem. That was very disappointing and strange.

I am a home barista and love espresso!! We went there especially because of the good coffee rating.Unfortunately I have a very unfriendly😥 & bad one there!! Experienced service.I was in the restaurant around lunchtime and there were only 3 tables occupied.At the bar/cash register I asked the supervisor what coffee do you have?I still found the answer *a GOOD one* funny.Since taste is an individual/personal preference, I asked whether your roast is fruity or chocolate/nutty.Unfortunately, I have learned over many years - that there is more (bad) espresso than GOOD espresso in Germany.The answer to my question was delivered with a blink of an eye. Any brand name.But that wasn't my question - so again fruity or chocolate/nutty?Now this lady became angry and slightly stroppy “I’ve already told you that three times”…..turned around and continued typing on her computer….I doubt whether this is the famous 5***** Schimmels service!I expect customer service differently 🫵

First of all: no review for the rooms because we didn't stay there. Now to the restaurant. Because of the many very good reviews and a personal recommendation, we reserved a table for Whit Monday. We got there on time and the table for us and our four-legged friend was set outside in beautiful weather. The welcome was warm and we felt very comfortable from the start. For the meal, we put together a 3-course meal from each of the two menus and all of our wishes were taken into account. So we have: Baked zucchini blossom with white tomato mousse - entrecôte from Nordic beef Beelitzer asparagus Café de Paris sauce - panna cotta with blueberry mousse chocolate ice cream and fried gelatin from Prignitz corn chicken with rhubarb and raspberries - fried sole with tarragon fondue eggplant confit and peppers - lemon tart with coconut sorbet ordered. Every single course was always a new culinary delight, each time surprising with its compositions, flavors and textures. If you want to enjoy food, you will find extraordinary creations here. Looking into the open kitchen and being able to “take a look over the shoulders” of the chefs at work was also a special experience. The very attentive and friendly service also contributed a lot to how much we enjoyed this “feast” 🙂!!!

Wanted to order a table for the week yesterday. Seemed like pretty women to me... Well, with us you would have to order 6 weeks in advance (we do when we were on vacation beforehand) and we also have our regular guests... Even if it's supposed to be delicious... I put it under friendliness and customer service me something else. Was super disappointed

We went to Schimmels for coffee and cake and we liked it so much that we had to go there a second time today. The homemade cakes are to die for, especially the cheesecake. Probably the best I've eaten so far. The coffee specialties are also great. My favorite here: the chocolate cinnamon coffee.The employee deserves high praise. Super friendly and authentic, when we came in today we were immediately recognized. And a nicer table was cleared especially for us, even though it was already set for the evening business and other tables were free.We will definitely recommend Schimmels and will definitely come back when we are in the area again!
