Delicious food, very friendly service, great view, cozy atmosphere... A must for visitors to the Harz.... Small addendum... As a parent, you can hold a child on your lap while eating... Parents who have and love children do this... . Children who walk over tables and benches don't have to go to a restaurant and can destroy the furnishings at home... Ours sat nicely at the table... stopped for coffee... friendly service... the latte was almost cold and the ice cream sundaes aren't that great...but still cozy 👍👍

It is simply a family business that runs its business with heart and mind. We were greeted warmly and served courteously and with humor. The food was delicious and came quickly, keep it up 👍 and don't lose your sense of humor! The yeast dumplings are the largest in the world 🌍…. Is hereby confirmed…

We just wanted to come for coffee. The journey was free. The restaurant had a closed day(s). A corresponding customer-friendly (!) notice about days off on the advertising board on the B27 would have saved the detour.

Very unfriendly on the phone. Questions are answered rudely. Apparently they don't need it. Although there is usually just a yawning emptiness. They immediately lose the desire to go there. As long as there is enough competition.

What's special here are, at least that's what the menu says, the "largest yeast dumplings in the world". They are available with various side dishes, from sugar, cinnamon and vanilla sauce to creamed mushrooms. So there should be something for every taste!Of course, there are also classic dishes here such as schnitzel or goulash.The service is very nice and attentive.However, I have to deduct one star for the somewhat outdated ambience, especially the toilets.

Yesterday we were guests at the Berggasthof for the TddE. We had reserved a table 2 hours before. Even though the restaurant was very busy, it worked. Service was excellent, food was very tasty, price/performance ratio was absolutely fine. The restaurant itself is very rustic, exactly to my taste and in a top location. The outside area might need a little renovation. Conclusion - Always happy.

I can't rate the room, we were only there to eat. There are probably the largest yeast dumplings in the world here. Delicious, delicious. We have eaten here several times. The employees are always friendly. It is advisable to reserve a table in advance to avoid a long waiting time. We had reserved and so everything went smoothly. Thank you for the good food and the great service. We'd love to come back.

We had lunch here yesterday after our hike. It's very cozy there and the food was great. The house specialty is recommended. Huge yeast dumplings as big as the whole plate. Can be combined with 19 variations from sweet to savory. And the goulash soup is also very tasty.

Despite not having a reservation, we were kindly given a table straight away. The yeast dumpling was gigantic and really delicious. The entire staff was warm and very accommodating.

That was an experience! Huge yeast dumplings, absolutely delicious! Another nice chat with our waitress (short, blonde, short hair) and we had the perfect excursion experience, especially since we were also allowed to go up the tower.Kind regards from the Baltic Sea to the entire team, we will definitely come back. Simply too delicious!

Caution! I think these are all fake reviews. We and all 6 of us in the picture were already there 45 minutes before opening. The restaurant opened on time, 4 minutes late and then telling everyone that "only possible by reservation"As in the comment 4 weeks ago, highly unprofessional.The ashtray in the entrance probably hadn't been emptied for several days. As I said, we are opening on site.A local restaurant also reported a 1-hour wait for a coffee and locals having stomach problems after a visit.Overall, I think the building needs some loving renovation.
