In a really beautiful week in July I traveled with my girlfriend to the beautiful Allgäu. We searched on Ebay classifieds and it was significantly cheaper to negotiate directly over the phone than on all internet portals. Included was the Oberstaufen Plus Card, an absolute recommendation for an entertaining and affordable holiday. Really good value for money.Let's start with the arrival. We arrived an hour early, but that wasn't a problem for the innkeeper, an older lady who ran the farm together with her husband. Also in the house were our son and daughter-in-law, who were celebrating their wedding on the day we left. Despite the stress of preparing for this important moment, we never had the feeling of being forgotten; a short conversation or a friendly greeting was always possible. The holiday farm had several large parking areas, lots of green spaces, a fantastic view of Austria, was close to traffic and yet was not burdened by noise. It takes three quarters of an hour to walk to Oberstaufen or five minutes by car. You could park there for free with the Oberstaufen Card and use the bus to Immenstadt or to the individual mountain railways, also free of charge. Before I get lost: The price of the overnight stay for the holiday apartment included the Oberstaufen Plus Card...free access to a summer toboggan run, an outdoor swimming pool, a leisure pool (very cool), a mini golf park, two museums, three mountain railways, a climbing forest . I've definitely forgotten something. We saw and participated in almost everything in the region. TOP!!!Back to the house: everything was clean, a bit rustic but Bavarian furnishings and a really comfortable bed. The blankets were a bit fat, but we also had many days over 30 degrees until the evening hours. There was no lack of self-catering in the holiday apartment, fresh towels and bed linen were provided. Great praise. The region had one disadvantage in general: the many mosquitoes, flies and horseflies. My girlfriend was half holed. But that has nothing to do with the holiday farm and was due to our own stupidity in not asking for fly screens. We are very grateful for the success of our first holiday together and will definitely come back if we miss the Allgäu. Greetings from Thuringia. :)
