It still exists - super friendly owners, great service, very nice rooms with balconies and views of nature, delicious dinners if you wish and the breakfast is impeccable. Even the sauna can be turned on in the summer if desired. And all of this at a fair price.

Incredibly nice owners! The house is newly renovated, modern and clean - just like the rooms. We had a room with a balcony and a fantastic view of the Black Forest. Unfortunately, the only drawback was the double bed, which creaked loudly when we moved at night.The small breakfast buffet is lovingly prepared. Individual requests regarding coffee and the preparation of breakfast eggs are taken into account. Top! :-)

Very comfortable! Warm welcome. Clean rooms, very comfortable beds. The owner couple is very charming and totally accommodating. The food was very good! Breakfast buffet top! Quiet location with a great view! We can only recommend the hotel!

Something very special!! We arrived hungry and exhausted after a long stage on the Schluchtensteig, were given a very friendly welcome and were soon served a delicious dinner, even though we hadn't ordered in advance. We didn't know it was necessary.Exceptionally friendly (English speaking) host.The house is very quiet, has been lovingly renovated and tastefully furnished.The breakfast and packed lunch also left nothing to be desired.Clear recommendation!

The best hotel I have stayed in in the Black Forest so far. Super warm, nice, extremely hard-working owners. Everything is clean and breakfast leaves nothing to be desired. The language here is almost exclusively in English, but German is also understood. Makes it a great charm. I would book it again at any time and can recommend it to everyone with a clear conscience. Bikers are also welcome here and are perfectly looked after.

This guesthouse is head and shoulders above the rest. Incredibly hospitable couple (Alexandra and Micheal) who seem to only have this guesthouse to meet new people and not in it for the money. You can have a fantastic dinner for almost no money (steak is Michael's specialty) and they declined the tip we wanted to give. Nice clean rooms in a beautiful location. That hotel is a gem, really, don't miss it!

We spent 6 days on the Schluchtensteig and stayed with Michael and Alexandra for one night. The guesthouse is in a very idyllic location directly on the Schluchtensteig, 3 km behind Todtmoos. Everything is newly renovated and very modern. We were welcomed very friendly and warmly. Since it's still low season, we basically got exclusive care. The owners attach great importance to individual service and food offerings. If you value Wiener Schnitzel with fries, you won't find it here. Overall a very nice stay. Since there are no places to stop for refreshments on the last stage to Wehr, we were allowed to take a packed lunch with us.Dinner and breakfast were great.Highly recommended. Incredibly great hotel. I have rarely experienced or seen anything better.Very warm, friendly and very very accommodating. There was nothing to complain about on my part. The food was very good and the breakfast left nothing to be desired. I was offered a packed lunch for the rest of my hike. I would love to come back and can highly recommend the hotel.

A very high standard hotel located on a mountain trail in a beautiful area. When you leave the room on the terrace, you have a view of the mountains. The hotel has a sauna and a playroom for children. I highly recommend the best steaks you can eat in Germany

After our hike on the Feldberg, we arrived at the cozy guesthouse in the evening. Unfortunately we were only there one night. We still had time to get to know the very nice host couple, who take very good care of their guests. The location is incredibly beautiful. We were able to relax very well (the sauna is highly recommended, by the way) and also had a delicious breakfast. The guest rooms are very inviting and, above all, extremely clean. In the morning you can enjoy a wonderful view from the balcony. I hope we come back!

Incredible!!! I was traveling by MTB and noticed when I ordered that I didn't have any money with me. No problem...I was served a wonderful coffee and a piece of cake. *If you come by again you can pay*.I was amazed by these friendly operators.A wonderful location and ideal for hiking.Addendum:I was at the restaurant for dinner on October 8th, 2023. Excellent and still inexpensive. Service perfect.Highly recommended!!

Dog-friendliness was important to us because we had two loving four-legged friends with us. That wasn't a problem. We were welcomed by a very bright, extremely friendly and helpful host family who repeatedly asked whether we needed help and who were happy to come back to us. With a lot of enthusiasm and attention to detail, they renovated the outdated guesthouse so that we could spend the night in a "as new" apartment with a new floor, bed and bathroom. Beautiful view of the valley and many hiking trails in the surrounding area are attractive. Because it is located in a "side valley" of Todtmoos, the prices are also "hospitable".... best regards to Schwarzenbach!

Gorgeous place, we stayed in one of the apartments and it was a wonderful experience.The appartment is newly renovated with very nice interior, you have a full kitchen with big fridge, coffee machine, stove, oven and dishwasher.The space is very bright and we felt like home right away. Beds are comfortable, the apartment was very clean.Breakfast is served daily in the loby, it was delicious, coffee was amazing.This is a family run business and we got to meet the owner who are running the place themselves, very friendly lovely couple, they were very helpful and made sure we were enjoying our stay.I highly recommend this place and we will for sure return again.Thank you.

Very quiet house right on the Schluchtensteig.The view from the newly renovated room = fantastic.The hosts put a lot of passion into it and the breakfast was excellent.
