A very friendly staff, the rooms are also very nice and clean.The surroundings and location are beautiful and very quiet.Price performance is very good.If you want to go on vacation in the Harz, I can really recommend the guesthouse.

The guesthouse is in a great location, sights can be easily reached by bus and car. Pension owner is very friendly. Breakfast buffet is very rich. Fair price-performance ratio ❤

Charming old house with lots of hiking opportunities. Cheap accommodation, great staff including boss--------------We liked it --------------We (he is 40 & she is 37) arrived very late in the evening due to work. With prior arrangement, it wasn't a problem. When we arrived in the evening we were warmly welcomed. Everything was explained and shown to us. We were asked when we would like to have breakfast. At 8:00 a.m. or preferably 8:30 a.m. We were the only guests at that time.-------------- Breakfast --------------In the morning there was a richly laid table for us with a freshly prepared breakfast. The boss served us personally :-) Everything was there for us. Several types of sausage and cheese. Vegetables, baked rolls. At a specially set up table there were several types of yoghurt, muesli, cornflakes, fruit, orange juice and boiled eggs.During breakfast, the host came several times to ask about our wishes. I think if we had had special requests, we would have had or received this the next day! The boss took good care of us!-------------- Location Misery --------------The Pension Bodetal is located directly on federal highway 27 with its own parking space. The B27 is not heavily traveled and is more of a country road. The B27 makes a curve almost directly at the Pension Bodetal. The village of Elend is at around 490m altitude with around 400+ residents. Diagonally opposite the Pension Bodetal is a small voluntary fire station. We didn't look at the village. No shopping opportunities on foot. Train station and bus within walking distance.-------------- Pension Bodetal Rooms --------------The house is from the early 1900s in an old, rustic, quiet, old style. Much of the old charm of the house has been retained. Our room is a bit old. Bed was soft but good for us even though we usually have hard mattresses. Due to the old building, the guesthouse is a bit noisy. We didn't hear the B27. We had a room at the back. Good WiFi networkWe recommend!Thank you for the lovely few days.The Jeske/Bartels family from Bremerhaven-------------- We didn't like it --------------Complaining at a HIGH level! Possibly suggestions for improvement.- Due to the old house, it is a bit noisy (we had our room downstairs)- The rooms are in need of renovation- The toilet fan is quite loud. According to the boss, the quieter fans have already been purchased. It feels like it runs for a very long time. (As a tip for the night. We always have a small string of lights with us)- No hairdryer (but it's not mandatory at a guesthouse, just a nice gimmick)- Gravel parking lot (bad for heavy suitcases)

We received a very friendly welcome and during a casual conversation we were given important information such as the breakfast room or the great tip for us to go to Walbad for dinner. THEN, as a young family with an 11 year old child, we were allowed to move into the nice, clean room on the 3rd floor. It was very quiet and we had a great view into the distance.The breakfast buffet at the table was great, we were specifically asked what we wanted and we were given rolls and cold cuts to ensure that the food was handled very sustainably. The price and the performance with all the luxury deserve 5 stars. Many thanks to the Pension Bodetal team!

Great value for money. Hosts are very friendly. Room was clean. We felt comfortable and in good hands. I would book it again👍
