A great viewsuper nice familyHoliday apartments are also greatThere is a small farm shop with its own sausage, cheese, milk and meat from the cattle.You can go into the stable and watch the cattle being milked or eatingsimply perfect here for the whole family

This was our second time at Ferienhof Schmid. It was another great time and we immediately felt welcome and at home again.The holiday apartments are clean and very well equipped. We were particularly impressed that everything in the apartment was perfectly prepared for the age of our children when we arrived. The chairs at the dining table, the fall protection on the cot, the secured sockets,...A special highlight on the farm is the evening feeding session with Martina. The many different animals are not only there to look at, but can also be fed and petted. Together with the large selection of games in the garden (sandpit, trampoline, table tennis,...) it is simply a small holiday paradise for children.The location is also great, with numerous excursion destinations for families in the area.

Beautiful view of the mountains. Friendly young farmers with wonderful "Allgäu girls" (s' cattle isch gmoind). A dream for a farm holiday, the Schwaltenweiher, Forggensee, Hohenfreyberg castle ruins and Eisenberg are not far away as excursion destinations. Pictures are from October 6th, 2023. Please remember that cows are not cuddly animals that immediately want to cuddle with strangers. Cows are certainly social animals that are very interested in approaching people (if they want to and don't see the other person as a threat). Please also remember that as a mother you don't want every stranger reaching into the stroller to pet the child because it is so golden. If you approach each other with respect, you will definitely experience beautiful moments, and some moments also need a certain amount of time and calm.

It was beautiful. The apartments are really well furnished with everything. Everything is there for children: animals, trampoline, pool, vehicles, etc. Bread service in the morning with fresh eggs, schnapps to buy or to try your own production. Just like fresh fruit which can be ordered. We won't be here for the last time. Beautiful excursion destinations nearby as it is very well located.

We thoroughly enjoyed our short holiday on the farm with our family and dog. Totally nice apartment, has everything you need, super nice host family and great service from Senior Schmid (e.g. bread roll service on Sunday mornings).Farm shop with its own products and fair prices, free parking spaces directly on site, and the panorama is unbeatable 🏔️☀️ we'll be back 🐶🫶🏼

We were there for the second time. The children don't want to leave anymore. Lots of animals. Cozy apartment, great farm shop with very fair prices. Awesome view. Simply great! Thank you for another wonderful stay.

We've been coming to the farm for years because our children probably prefer this "real" farm with ongoing operations to more child-friendly, glossy "petting zoo" farms. Helping out, touching animals, riding on a trekker, pony riding? Experienced everything. It probably also depends on how you approach others (humans and animals) ;-)The farm products are high quality (Demeter quality) and everyone on the farm is friendly and helpful.If the farm bothers you during your farm holiday, you might want to book next door at the Panorama Hotel, which is excellent and highly recommended.Both offer priceless views!

We chose the Schmid family's holiday farm because of the many animals and the information “It is possible to help on the farm” and “Horse riding opportunities”. We reassured ourselves over the phone that this also includes guided pony rides for children. When we arrived, Mr. Josef Schmid personally confirmed this to us and referred us to his granddaughter. On our first tour of the farm, however, we immediately noticed a whole forest of signs: “Entering the stable is prohibited!”, “Hands off, I am not a petting animal,” “No petting is allowed!”, “This is not a petting zoo!”, “ Horses are not common property”, “Entering the rabbit box is forbidden”. The feeling of not being welcome in the stable increased the next day: my six-year-old daughter gently touched a cow, whereupon the farmer's wife complained to her that a cow was not an animal to be petted and that we should buy a cat. When we asked when and where guided pony riding took place, we were informed of the following facts: The holiday apartments are owned by Mr. Josef Schmid, but the animals are already owned by the next generation, who want nothing to do with the holiday guests. Of course, there is no pony riding (the necessary insurance no longer exists) and helping on the farm is not possible either. Our children were hugely disappointed!Since the “fenced playground” turned out to be four swings with ropes that had been mended several times and the “play barn with trampoline” couldn’t be found until the end, we were only left with a few pedal vehicles. Only the view from the holiday apartment, which was in urgent need of renovation, was as beautiful as promised. Otherwise a complete failure!

Our children love this farm because of the animals and the Kettcars, which are also suitable for older children. The host is friendly and helpful, the view is magnificent. However, the apartment is already getting old, the bathroom in particular needs to be renovated (mold, cracks and damage to tiles) and the carpets should be disposed of or cleaned. The coffee machine is also usually dirty from its predecessor. The beds are very comfortable :-)
