A wonderful hotel in an old building. I love places with history. With a layer of patina. Friendly and welcoming staff. A cafe bar itself. And if you calculate the price, I don't know what could be better.

We were here for a week on a bike tour with 10 people. The hotel has the charm of the 60s, really classy. The furniture is significantly older! And there are great paintings hung throughout the house. Even a cable-driven elevator from the kitchen is still working. Class! Although it is located directly on a busy street, it is very quiet, our rooms were in the annex. Beautiful beer garden and very tasty food. The rooms are very clean, functionally furnished and that's enough. The friendliness of the staff, starting from the boss, really makes you feel at home. The boys did a great job too! The breakfast is very tasty and plentiful. All special requests were fulfilled immediately and allergies were taken into account. This is not a given and we have experienced it differently. It was very great here. We'd love to come back!

What a cozy hotel. Good food in the restaurant, cozy sitting in the cafe, very friendly staff, nice room with shower, toilet and sink. Within walking distance of the center.Enjoyed it immensely and definitely worth repeating ❤️

Directly on the Vechteroute, a stone's throw from the market square. Family business, although the restaurant is currently closed due to a lack of staff, delicious food was cooked for us after prior arrangement.

Full marks for the location: You can walk directly along the canal towards the city center. The rooms are clean and cheap. Unfortunately, there are malfunctions in the shower fittings (not possible to switch to cold water) and toilet flushing (the water pressure is far too weak and running on is not guaranteed). We were particularly unlucky because the ballroom was on the floor below our rooms and a party with a DJ and loud dance music kept us awake until at least 2 a.m. This was apparently completely normal and okay for the staff (main source of income?), at least the hotel saw no reason to be accommodating. Kind words of apology, since we were the victims of the circumstances and had to involuntarily "listen" to a shooting festival, would have been enough for us. We didn't feel welcome and were treated rather carelessly at breakfast. This was sufficient, but without any extras (no quark, no fruit, no tomatoes, etc.). Too bad!

We've been going to Bonke for years.Absolutely great staff, breakfast and the food in the restaurant are great.We have always taken our little dog with us and there have never been any problems.Hotel Bonke again in the summer.
