Worst stay we have ever had…...we go to hotels, guesthouses, etc. several times a year, but we have never experienced anything like this.We (2 adults and 1 dog) had booked 1 night. While I took our dog for the first walk, my husband did the check-in. When he came in he wasn't greeted, but was greeted with the words “Are you coming with a dog? There are already 3 dogs here...” My husband replied that we had registered in advance with a dog and that dogs were welcome. The lady then got upset because there were so many dogs there, the guests were going in and out with the dogs so much and everything was dirty. I don't know how the guests otherwise behave, but we go in and out without a dog... We were also quickly asked whether we would be insured if our dog broke something. Of course we are insured, but a “Welcome, nice to have you here” would have been nice too. My husband was then given the instruction to “pay attention to the curtains and light-colored furniture.” After this, not so nice, first impression, we went into the room. As expected, the room was completely fine and clean. Later we went to a work event and left our dog alone in the room with a dog camera after he had been exhausted beforehand. (We have trained him to do this over the last few years and he can do this for a few hours without any problems). The woman at reception asked us in the parking lot whether the dog should stay alone here and that hopefully it won't break anything now. The question about insurance came up again.During the event I checked the dog camera regularly and, as expected, our dog was relaxed and sleeping in the room. Later we received a WhatsApp from the lady at reception saying that our dog was whining all the time and that we were being irresponsible. Checking the dog camera again showed a sleeping dog. I don't want to rule out the possibility that if jm. He was definitely barking as he walked past our bedroom door, but as soon as the person passed, he stopped. In order not to get into any more trouble or anything like that, I went back to the pension with a work colleague. Both in the parking lot, in the house, on the stairs and directly in front of the room door: peace. Not a peep from our dog – as I expected.A work colleague then reported that the other guests were being insulted when she checked in and that she shouldn't bring her bag against the walls in the room so that there are no streaks on the wall. The next morning at breakfast, the dog alone in the room and the dog camera on and open on the table: none of the guests were greeted with “Good morning”. The lady quickly came to the table “Are you drinking coffee?” in a rather annoyed tone. After we said yes, she said, “It’s on the table, you don’t need to take plates from the table, there are plates at the buffet” – ok.Less than 2 minutes later, she came back and said that the dog was just whining again. The view on the camera showed a sleeping dog. After we told her that the dog was sleeping and held out the camera, she just walked away.We got out of this guesthouse as quickly as possible and will definitely never come back.I can't even imagine how the lady deals with children (because they are also louder when playing or screaming) or how she talks about them in front of other guests like we do about other guests with dogs...I can recommend this guesthouse to everyone who……don’t have children...no dogs...just checking in and wanting to leave the room next time when checking out...have no problem with other guests making fun of them
