Gasthof Fantenberg

I was in Fantenberg for the third time in May and, as always, it was an experience with lots of beautiful impressions and good vibes. Jochen and Angela are super nice and helpful hosts. The inn is located in beautiful nature, the Traun flows right past the house and if you're not a hot shower person, you can bathe in it. Barbecue area and a beautiful meadow complete the quiet location. Rooms have been lovingly renovated and there is a shared kitchen for self-catering. Cycling trips and beautiful hikes don't get boring... I'll be back :-)

FANTENBERG - a hidden gemAway from the big crowds of tourists, you can find peace and relaxation from the stressful everyday life at FANTENBERG. The ideal place to concentrate on what's important again and to find yourself.Just a few minutes from beautiful Inzell, you'll be immersed in a completely different world as soon as you arrive. Warmly welcomed by the friendly operator, you move into the simple but functionally furnished rooms on the 1st floor. For those who like something a little more unconventional, there are also dormitories and shared rooms with bunk beds available on the second floor. The house has various rooms such as a guest room, kitchen, sauna area, etc., which are open to all guests. Since there is no longer any active restoration, self-catering is required. However, food and drinks can be conveniently stored in the large refrigerator, meals can be prepared in the spacious kitchen and consumed in the attractive guest room or on the wonderful sun terrace. Particularly noteworthy in this context are the social aspect and the family atmosphere. There are always nice and interesting conversations and encounters either with the lovable operator himself (a Nuremberg original) or one of his friendly roommates. Refreshed, you can then devote yourself to a variety of leisure activities during the day, such as cycling, hiking or swimming in nearby lakes. In the evening, numerous restaurants in and around Inzell serve Bavarian delicacies or the good spirit of the house, Benny, lights the campfire for a romantic barbecue evening. If you're lucky, you'll catch a glimpse of a legendary white-haired fairy creature at an late hour who is said to be traveling towards the moor on a bicycle at night. Just a legend told around the campfire? Who knows for sure…? After an eventful day filled with beautiful memories and experiences, you sink into the soft pillows and dream of the next exciting day in wonderful peace. Anyone who values ​​slowing down in a simple and uncomplicated atmosphere and can enjoy the little things in life is definitely in the right place at FANTENBERG. Great quiet location, but please don't let the "inn" fool you. There is no "catering", but self-catering is no problem, nice barbecue area. There are many good restaurants and cafes in the area (not within walking distance). Large property in a secluded location, use of the sauna possible, located on a stream, great nature, friendly and helpful operator

Incredible place full of charme, magic and energy. Our group felt super welcome, hosts were more than accommodating. We even met the ‚house ghost‘ - a very friendly dude who filled up the fridge every morning. For insiders - the swinger over the river. We‘ll be back!
