Really great hut with great hut keepers and staff. The view is beautiful, the food is delicious. Although we misjudged the time badly and were actually too late (for the kitchen), the team made us something warm to eat, which was very necessary after the long tour. This is not a given and we are still very grateful! For that alone they deserve 10 out of 5 stars. And as an additional star, there are also little sheep that you can look at. :D <3

Kim and Tobias, you are doing a great job as hut hosts. Your hut and your hospitality were a blessing along with the delicious food. I have never experienced that there is a fresh, delicious salad with Kasspatzn. We are looking forward to the next time!

The most unpleasant experience since I went to the mountainsFirst of all: The dormitory is clean, the food is of decent, average quality. For the sake of fairness, I would like to write this about this hut. What doesn't work at all and is completely unacceptable: the behavior of the hut hosts, especially the hut landlady Kimberley. When we wanted to buy coffee and milk for the muesli we had brought for breakfast in the morning after our overnight stay, as we had agreed with the hut landlord Tobias (!) in the evening, we were told in an absolutely unacceptable tone that she "doesn't like to see anything like that in here" and then (quote) referred to “at least behind the tiled stove or ideally straight onto the terrace” (it had rained through the night and everything was wet). The hut landlady made it unmistakably clear that she knows the DAV rules on self-sufficiency, but will make it clear to anyone who asks her how much she hates them and finds them a massive imposition.I will also report this incident to the DAV Mittenwald section.Unfortunately, I wasn't alone, so I probably would have been able to handle it. But this was the morning after the first night in the hut of our first hut trip together with our 8-year-old son, who had been looking forward to it for more than a year. After the landlady's words, he was so disturbed that he didn't want to have breakfast on the terrace anymore and just wanted to leave. Because he couldn't understand at all why we were no longer accepted as guests in the morning at the same table where we had generated a turnover of €130 the previous evening. We were literally driven away.So we set off immediately with an empty stomach and a distraught child and 15 minutes later had breakfast on a bench from our backpacks.Unfortunately, this experience will linger in our family for a long time and ruined our vacation forever. And I personally resent Kimberley for that!I am relatively sure that she will also find these lines unacceptable and will not change her behavior, so I am writing this criticism primarily as a warning for families who are planning to do something similar to ours.Fortunately, there are excellent alternatives in the immediate vicinity: If you are looking for a relaxed, cozy hut experience, the Brunnsteinhütte is right next door at an excellent address.

Very nice and attentive staff. The cheese dumpling soup in particular is highly recommended. Overall, the dishes were very tasty.
