An absolute disgrace, the “house” is dilapidated and ripe for the demolition ball. Also completely dirty (but charge 170 euros for final cleaning!!), doors eaten, floor partly moldy, holes in the walls, several lamps broken, but big dust mice everywhere. Some of the electrical devices are ancient and have never been checked. Due to a leak in a water pipe, the kitchen could only be accessed with waterproof shoes, although we also pay for the water ourselves, as additional costs are billed separately! The only advantage of this establishment: the human immune system. is being brought back into shape again. If you want to make yourself as unpopular as possible as an organizer, you should definitely book this rubbish property!!! The one star is only given because I can't post this information otherwise!

I would like to advise anyone not to stay in this house for a longer period of time. We were there last year with a group of 37 people and were accompanied by a few mice who also liked to hang out in the kitchen. There weren't enough dishes/cups etc, so we had to buy more for ourselves. There is no real group room, so we converted the dining room. The house is more than noisy, it creaks with every step and is dilapidated. Contrary to the information, there is none! Local contact who can help you. We suddenly ran out of heating oil and couldn't reach anyone for three days, so we had neither hot water nor heating (and that was at the end of October with 30 children.) The energy costs have to be paid in advance. Despite the lack of heating oil, we had to pay around €490 for a week. We never saw the rest of what we advanced!! Rooms were okay, but the many mice made it uncomfortable to stay with children. Grounds are not maintained but okay. The only plus point is that the surrounding area is very nice for hikes or excursions. Otherwise a complete disaster.

There were 38 of us in total and two dogs. This was the only house we found at a reasonable price. The house is quite OK for celebrating. But I wouldn't spend more than a weekend there. I would also like to say that the house is hardly insulated. So, it's better to go there at a warmer time of year.

We were there with a football team, the house was appropriate for our age, we were only in the house to sleep and that was ok, we had a lot of fun there.

We visited the Fahlenscheid group house in December with a group of 20 people. The house itself is actually fine.It is an old house that is ideal for groups of around 20-30 people. The best thing about the house is the kitchen and the "living room" with several sofas and a fireplace.Unfortunately, the house is not insulated in the slightest and there is no exact information about the additional costs. The website says that a group will spend around +/- €200 per day in additional costs in winter. We turned off the heaters in all the rooms we weren't using, which was about 2/3 of them, and in the entrance area because it made no sense to heat there. We now have to pay another €207 in addition to the €200 deposit we have already paid.Electricity is charged at 50ct per unit, water and heating at €8 per unit.Unfortunately, you have to heat a lot (and we were actually very economical) and still have such high consumption. This is an absolute rip off!I also find it very cheeky that the landlord went into the house at 1 p.m., turned off the heating, and then turned up the heaters everywhere (!) and we got it on the bill, because we had said that we wouldn't arrive until 5 p.m .In general we were actually satisfied, but the additional costs make us definitely not going there again.
