Thank you very much for 3 great days at Schnellenberg Castle. We stayed with you for the umpteenth time. It is and remains a wonderful experience. A clean room with a modern bathroom where nothing is missing. A TOP service team and an ambience that is coordinated down to the smallest detail. Special thanks go to René Wacker, who learned the star cooking culture from scratch, and to his lovely wife Ramona, who rounded off the dinner with recommendations and experiences. The hard-working, friendly service worker Felix and everyone else from the entire team. Finally, the Bilsing family should be mentioned, who, with a lot of arrangement, master this difficult task of maintaining the really old castle as a HOTEL and still find time for nice conversations... THANKS to EVERYONE who gave us wonderful times.See you soon... Jörg and Tina Doppelgatz

I didn't stay there, so I can't comment on the rooms.I was at a party and the service and food were great. The atmosphere is super nice and if you are there for several days you can also visit many beautiful places (e.g. Biggesee viewing platform).

Hotel location view is really greatBut the restaurant is terribleI advise you not to eat thereAfter 1 minute the waiter asks if everything is okayI shrug my shoulders because I didn't know yet.I hadn't eaten a piece of meat yetI suspect the meat was thawed and microwaved then friedI reported that, the waiter's response was: in a rude manner, you said it was goodThis restaurant does not deserve a star

Our office was in the castle for two nights at the invitation of Viega. It is a facility worth seeing. The staff is very friendly and willing to do the job.Worth mentioning is the lady in the breakfast room, who was super friendly and available at 7:00 a.m. and fulfilled all wishes within seconds.Later in the afternoon we were served by an older waiter with white hair and a Bavarian accent. This is a person who should be in every restaurant.Courteous, quick and eager to accommodate every request. Late in the evening he surprised us with a stunt. He wanted a glass of wine on the tray to go to the guest as quickly as possible. While climbing the 5 historic steps, he stumbled briefly, caught himself with a spectacular movement and served the glass to the guest. His name: Sandro from Rosenheim, who worked here as a temporary worker for 3 weeks. So go there. Maybe he is there...I'll be back!!Jens

We spent one night in the castle hotel, visited the restaurant and had breakfast. When we arrived, 5 geese greeted us on the street.Parking lot is very large, the castle also has two indoor parking spaces, but we couldn't use them because of our vehicle.Nice facility, from the parking lot you have to walk a few meters up the hill to check in. This was short and quick. Our room was at the very end, so even further up with our suitcase. The room was nice and expected, but the mattress was very soft.Nice view of the greenery. Please definitely improve the entrance door to the complex. It's so banging. If you sleep near this door, you will always sit in bed. Especially when there are so many groups of guests on site who enjoy drinking and bang the doors in the night. We were disappointed that the bar had closed without any information about it.We were disappointed with the restaurant's service. We sat in the garden and were offered drinks, but the tables were not wiped down. Were completely wet from the rain. It could have been cleaned quickly with a cloth. The food in the restaurant was very tasty and was served quickly. We were the only guests until after the main course; four service staff were in the restaurant. Through the mirror you could see someone in the dining room just on their cell phone. Query about drinks without a menu or recommendation. The wine list didn't offer any open wines, so the pages were missing. They are errors that can be controlled during quiet times, especially with the number of employees. A drink was forgotten and we were asked three times if we wanted anything else. But we waited for the drinks we had already ordered. A little more organization and communication among the service would be helpful.Music was first on, then off, then the music was played, then it was on again and then finally off.Given the price quoted for the food, I expect top service. And before you criticize this review: I come from the catering industry and worked, among other things, as chef de rang in the gourmet restaurant. The older lady at breakfast is sweet and fits so nicely into the whole arrangement. The breakfast offers everything you could wish for. Even if the plates look empty, if necessary we can of course get it refilled. The room was beautiful and reminiscent of a time long gone.We got the room at a cheaper rate, but would never pay the full price. It was still a nice experience and the entire complex, including around the castle, is beautiful and well maintained.

The castle tour, which is included in the price, was great. The guide told the history very well. I would highly recommend the tour!It was wonderfully quiet at night and very relaxing coming from a big cityThe (Dutch?) lady at breakfast was very friendly and even gave unsolicited information about an ornate mirror we were looking at.If you're lucky, you'll see the peaceful orange castle cat ☺️All in all, I would definitely recommend a stay and a hike to Biggesee!

We just checked out and stayed in this castle hotel for exactly 1 week. For me, this trip was a pre-trip for a yoga retreat that I would like to do. It's the ideal place. beautiful surroundings, great meadow, for hiking, Attendorn town not far away, about 20 minutes walk and not far from Biggesee, where you can swim, do SUP.We stayed here with our dog and I have to say the hotel is very dog friendly. After booking, we briefly announced in writing that we would be traveling with our dog and it cost €18 per night. They provided a blanket with 2 feeding bowls, everything was great! The wellness area is small but nice. You have a small sauna and bio sauna, showers and lounger options for resting. Water for refreshment from the castle's own spring, highly recommended! The staff in general were very warm and really nice. The breakfast in particular was simply brilliant and perfect! The selection of cheese, sausage, smoked salmon, bacon, bratwurst, fresh rolls and I assume homemade bread, drinks with various juices and warm drinks, which they then serve to order such as latte, espresso, cocoa. They will also bring fried eggs to your table upon request. What I would also like to emphasize is that the waiter, Ms. Annette Kersting, is simply the heart of the matter, such a great, hard-working lady who warmly welcomed us every morning at breakfast and also the waiter Chang, who is very friendly and hard-working. He always made sure everything was completely stocked and the tables were tidy. My husband and I really spent 7 valuable days in this castle hotel! We liked it so much that we can only warmly recommend it and I would definitely like to offer my first yoga retreat here.
