The soups were lukewarm. Probably cans given the taste and acidity. The coke was flat.

Location perfect. Beautiful at the beginning of Monschau within walking distance of the parking lot. This was our most expensive hotel this holiday, but also the most disappointing. Fine for a stay but no more than that. Breakfast was very good and the restaurant inside was attractive. However, not recommended for dinner: worst schnitzl I have ever had. Food from the supermarket.Rooms very small. So tight that your towel hangs in your face while you sit on the toilet.Free WiFi, separate for the restaurant and the hotel. However, WiFi did not work on the top floor.Friendly owner, who does her best to make you happy. In short, a great base/perfect location but otherwise mediocre.

It was a decent 3 star hotel, but nothing more. You get the value you pay for. It is really in the middle of the center. The mattresses could be a little better, too sagging. A simple breakfast buffet. …

Dinner was simple. Salad was not that fresh.Breakfast buffet was okay but quite chaotic. Little experience.Location in the center is excellent with a very nice terrace.Quiet location. Strange that they are open from 8am to 6pm.That seems strange to me for a restaurant.

The facility has a pleasant interior, a multi-level summer terrace that essentially connects two streets with its stairs. The service is polite, but due to the fullness of the establishment, you have to wait a little longer for the attention of the staff. The prices are a little too high, that is, not commensurate, but for some reason this is generally such a trend for this town. The choice of draft beer is small and there was nothing interesting (any local or Belgian), unfortunately. The schnitzel was typical, with a side of fries, a good size and, thanks to the local mustard, not dry and tasty, they also brought out some salad. But the mustard soup surprised me a lot, how to say it better, it was unexpectedly watery. That is, a small cup in which, according to our feeling and the appearance of the dish, local mustard was diluted with water and everything, not even some croutons or bread or dressing made of greens (dill, parsley, etc. for appearance) was added to it. Bolognese pasta was not tasty and too al dente, and the cappuccino in general for some reason had a sad look.In addition to the waiter, the guests were approached by a very friendly and welcoming woman (perhaps the owner of the establishment), who helped the waiter take and take out orders and politely answered guests' questions. She also informed us that the city no longer has its own breweries, which we read about on the Internet and planned to visit.

The terrace is quite nice, food and drinks are good, but don't stand out from the competitors. The price level is high and they take advantage of the influx of external guests, just like in other restaurants.July 2024
