No curtains in my room. Located directly on the roundabout, heavy traffic from 6 am. No breakfast; restaurant only on weekends; no debit or credit cards; no reception/reception; very unfriendly help. Stay away from here

We arrived in Schleiden on Sunday July 14th, 2024. We had booked 2 nights.We were greeted warmly by a waitress with long, dark hair and a young man who said it was his first day there!We were immediately told that we had to pay in cash because the card machine hadn't worked for a long time! We did that too, but we did NOT receive an invoice! We were then assigned a room on the first floor! Ok at first glance, but the second look was sobering! There was someone's hair in the bed, the toilet was used and not clean! There were countless dead mosquitoes between the windows and watching TV was not possible either!This was pointed out to me, especially when it came to the television, and it was explained to me that the city of Schleiden had probably destroyed a cable during construction work and that's why the television didn't work!However, the television was on in the room opposite, strange reasoning!The young man tried very hard and told us if we took this room we would have to pay more. What was my question to him for?!For €90 per night, you can expect a clean room with a working TV!I also said that to the other employee with short, light hair, who probably cooks in this house and is responsible for the bookings.After my friendly, factual argument about the current situation and a more than justified complaint about the room, it immediately became unfriendly, cheeky, unobjective and insulting...and said to us... we could leave if it didn't suit us!I contradicted that!Without confronting the situation any further, she simply left with the words…then go into the room…without paying any more!This is not how you treat guests who can do absolutely nothing about the situation in the hotel!Normally all problems can be solved even without a review in this medium! However, we have no other choice!Despite a request for an invoice, why does it have to be pointed out? I haven't received any yet!Several phone calls were also only answered with excuses... I have to go here... I have to go there... blah blah blah! It culminated in me allegedly being insulting... without words!The boss of the house, according to the imprint, wasn't interested either and simply hung up on me several times!It's a shame about the other two employees, who tried very hard and tried to put us in a positive mood again! Both get 10 stars for that!For the misbehavior of the “cook” and the “boss” O stars!Furthermore, the hotel is located on a main road, a roundabout, so double windows are of no use, as it is from another millennium! Not to mention the furnishings and cleanliness!From Sunday evening no employees were present until we left!And that in a hotel?Never again !

I'm only reviewing the restaurant here. This can be recommended. We eat here often and have never been disappointed. The portions are large, the meat is on point. Good cuisine at reasonable prices.

We only ate here: it was delicious! It takes a while because everything is made fresh. But it's worth the wait! Friendly service and an attractive restaurant.

You can eat very tasty food here. Man, it tastes good and the service is great, the toilets are always great

No staff! No internet! (Which isn't an unnecessary luxury in hotels these days, but seems to be the case here) No breakfast! On certain days you can have dinner here. The only thing you can do here is sleep in this hotel. The hotel rooms are clean, but due to staff shortages, new towels are not provided and the rooms are not cleaned during the stay. I visit many places in Europe every week where I stay overnight for work. I think this hotel is stuck in the Corona crisis. It's a shame..👎 post April 25, 2024.

Wonderful restaurant with excellent service. Small-scale place with the feeling of being in a living room, but very cozy.

I would like to comment on the previous statement. We also ate there at the weekend and sat at the neighboring table. First of all, the restaurant only had an Easter menu for the Easter days. With two starters and three different main courses and for younger guests the “Kinderschnitzel”. The prices per dish were very reasonable. No dish over €30.00. Neither on the holidays nor in the normal menu. I would also like to mention that the portions are more than generous. Since, as already mentioned, we were sitting at the next table, we heard the conversation. But it seemed to us that the waitress knew one of the guests well and was jokingly chatting with the guest. Furthermore, I don't understand why you would write such a review if, on the one hand, you didn't order a schnitzel and, on the other hand, writing such a "warning" would be absolutely overpriced.My conclusion for this weekend:- Food: great- Map: great- Price/performance: Top
