We spent a long weekend here partly with family and partly with friends and the location is an absolute checkpoint. The outdoor area is very well maintained and beautifully decorated. The interior rooms were also very clean. Mr. Oswald welcomed me to the Palatinate with a quick call the evening before (nice Palatinate conversation) and we spoke briefly about our arrival. The next morning we received a warm welcome, received our room keys and were able to set off on our bike tour. Every issue was resolved quickly and support was always provided! The breakfast was also very nicely prepared. I would like to note that Mr. Oswald is doing this all by himself! Really great. We definitely felt very comfortable and would love to come back! ☺️🙏🏼

Mr. Oswald is simply a super guy, uncomplicated and sociable. Twelve of us stayed at the accommodation with our (extended) family for the end of the year and we simply didn't miss anything. So we were all extremely satisfiedIn this respect, the partly negative comments here at best cause surprise. But if you read through the explanations, some of which are far-fetched, you get the impression that it was perhaps the fault of some of the guests...In any case, 5 stars from us, both for accommodation, cleanliness, breakfast and communication.

I've stayed in this guesthouse before, but I've never felt so uncomfortable there as I did this time because of the owner. Mr. Oswald's behavior really has nothing to do with the "Palatinate happy nature", as was described in one of the previous reviews. I'm glad that we people from the Palatinate are not all like that. The rooms and the location are positive, but that's about it. When you stay somewhere else as a guest, you don't want to feel like you're not welcome. Mr. Oswald doesn't seem to be in the mood anymore, which is evident in every comment. Of course he needs the money, which he only accepts in cash. I'm looking forward to a change of ownership. Maybe I'll come back then. It's good that there are other accommodation options in Forst.

Top spot. Very clean and tidy rooms. Breakfast with everything you need. The host is a nice man and very precise. Pay in cash. Delicious! We will definitely come back! He even offered us a taxi ride to the neighboring town, but we found a nice restaurant in the village itself with a beautiful view over the vineyards. 🤩

Not recommended!!!We stayed in the Oswald guesthouse with 12 people to celebrate my husband's birthday in the Palatinate.The - to put it mildly - harsh manner of the host, Mr. Oswald, which often slipped into outrageous barracks yard jargon, makes this inhospitable house a no-go area for us and our friends!!!It's a shame, because the room and breakfast are okay

Highly recommended place, if you wish to be treated like an enemy and with no respect.We have spend 2 night, in group of 9 ppl here. I have never experienced such rude approach from the host ever.WIFI - there is a visible wifi, however it doesn’t work. It is impossible to open a website on your phone. Working with laptop / outlook is impossible.POISONED FOOD - we were served sausages with visible green and white mold on it. When we note it, only one piece (this one visible infected) was removed…What is more, during breakfast mr Oswald insisted on imidiate payment (first day of our stay), we payed with cash. Just after that, whithout washing hands, he cut a cucumber for us and keep managing food for breakfastHOST- there is a lot written here and I experieneced some of those examples as well. What is more, Mr Oswald yelled on me and my friend, when we tried to sit separately from our colleagues. We had to discussed one business challange alone, but wasn’t allowed to 🤯 mr Oswald said that „we are from one Company, and we HAVE TO sit togather, so that, we could integrate”.We were on business trip here, location was perfect for us. We have set 2 next business meetings in Forst this years, but we all agreed, that will never come back to this crazy place.

Dear Mr. Oswald, after reading all the negative reviews, we were a bit biased. However, upon arrival we discovered that this was not the truth. You are simply a happy person from the Palatinate. A great guy. Always have a good saying on the tip of your tongue. The rooms are really very nice and you have a very nice view of the garden. You really can't fault anything here. Room facilities are great. Of course the television is no longer the latest, but you are not in the Palatinate to watch television. The breakfast is presented with great attention to detail. There are fresh rolls from the bakery and a sufficient variety of editions. There are also eggs, fruit and fresh juices. So anyone who complains about a breakfast for 10 euros can no longer be helped. Mr. Oswald is definitely putting his money where his mouth is. We definitely feel very comfortable here. We'd love to come back because the guesthouse's convenient location is really good.

Stay away if you want to enjoy a relaxing stay in Forst. I can only advise anyone not to stay overnight in the Oswald guesthouse, as Mr. Oswald is brilliant at making your stay an unpleasant experience with his feigned, unsympathetic, whining nature. Even the well-furnished rooms do not manage to make up for this significant shortcoming (by the way: there are many cobwebs on the ceiling and in the corners, indicating long cleaning breaks).Any examples? “Breakfast is available from 8:30 a.m. From 9:30 a.m. I close the breakfast room again. After all, I’ve been up since 6 a.m. and I have to have some time off.”Or: The coffee cup is full of tea stains. The request for a clean cup was rejected because all cups were in use. The renewed request for a clean cup was answered by simply swapping it with a cup from the neighboring place setting. It didn't take 2 minutes for the other guest to be surprised about the dirty cup and ask for a clean one. Result: bad luck, all cups in use.Or: The room price on the homepage is lower than the advertised price. Excuse: “I can’t reach my provider and can’t change the prices.”The list could easily be extended.Mr. Oswald never misses an opportunity to convey to the guest that he is actually just creating work for him and that he is unwelcome. It is clear without a doubt that Mr. Oswald is not a restaurateur. I can only advise anyone not to stay here.

We really enjoyed our stay in the apartment. We stayed there with our son (7 months old). The house has a great location, right on the wine route with all the restaurants. Our room was great, everything was clean. The breakfast was good. I particularly liked the homemade jams and the fresh juices. We had a nice conversation with the owner during breakfast. Parking spaces are directly at the house. We'd love to come back!!

The room was 30€ more expensive than stated on the internet (single room advertised on the internet for 69€, but it only cost 93€). There was no room service whatsoever, at breakfast the eggs ran out after 15 minutes, and you were thrown out of the room 5 minutes after the end of breakfast (which only lasted an hour from 8 - 9). And as already described here, he, Mr. Oswald, likes to constantly say that he is all alone and has to do everything himself, which is obviously not true - there were at least two additional people working at breakfast. Apart from that, as a guest it doesn't matter to me why he doesn't get it right - given the price, I expect that the owner doesn't complain, but that the service is provided to the guests' satisfaction. A little exaggerated, but not by much: you get the feeling that you're paying to make the service provider feel good, the guest doesn't matter.

Hello Mr. Oswald,I would like to give you a tip: Last weekend you had the opportunity to convince over 20 guests to either stay with you again or to recommend you to others - all you would have had to do was appear a little more hospitable and be more accommodating. It seemed to us that you were willing to personally advise each and every guest not to ever come to you again.Instead of accommodating us with courteous and hospitable behavior, there were only reprimands. They unloaded their personal stress on us with sentences like: “I have to do everything here alone,” “I’ve been working since 6 a.m.,” “I want to get off work at some point,” and a few more. Your personal problems or incompetence in planning are not the guests' problems.We would also have expected that if we had over 20 guests staying with you for overnight stay and breakfast, there would be a little more leeway regarding check-in, check-out and breakfast times. After all, we alone filled almost your entire house and ensured decent sales. I assume that when you're shopping in the supermarket you won't be rudely told to go through as quickly as possible or that the cashier will tell you to hurry up when leaving and paying, to use a comparable example here that I hope you understand. Would you go shopping in a supermarket like this again?With all due respect - your way of dealing with guests is impossible.We and all of our guests have been around a lot and no one has experienced anything like this before... I hope you can take the positive side of the criticism and draw the necessary conclusions for yourself so that scenes like this don't happen again.Best regards
