KNAUS Campingpark Bad Dürkheim

The location is very nice and the place is well maintained. The holiday home was clean and simple. Maybe one or two hooks on the wall would help to make it easier to cope with the limited space. The equipment was rather cheap but completely sufficient.

I stayed at the campsite with my two dogs for six days. It had probably rained a few days before, so we had a big puddle in the middle of our place. The showers and toilets are pretty decent, but they don't smell particularly good.Dogs are allowed but apparently not welcome. For €3.80 per dog per day I would have expected more. Dogs are not allowed to enter the lake and the meadow in front of it. You can only walk with dogs on the “main street”, where mobile homes, cars, caravans, bicycles and everything with legs drive. There is also no exercise, so it's best to lock your dog in the car and leave it there.There are nicer, better and cheaper campsites in the area. Dogs are also welcome there and not just “paying guests”.The petting zoo was the saddest thing of all, I had tears in my eyes when I saw the behavior of the animals. One of the goats could no longer use its front hooves and was basically walking on its knees. I imagine species-appropriate posture to be a little different.In short, it wasn't a nice vacation and we will never come back.

Although these must be available (if reserved in advance)Terrain: well maintained, beautifully located on the swimming lake. Fishing 🎣 possible.Small bakery in the reception and also 500m from the campsite (according to the sign - not visited)Wine barrel camping:The following is present:BeddingTableware consisting of:2 forks, 2 knives 🔪, 2 spoons 🥄, 2 plates, 2 cups and a few napkins.2 wine glasses and 2 regular glasses.There is only ONE socket in the wine barrel. So be sure to take a 3-way socket with you.Otherwise it will be tight with cool boxes, cell phones, etc.Breakfast is delivered to the wine barrel at 8:30. This comes in a picnic basket. In here you will find:4x rolls2x orange juice, 2x butter cheese, 3x liver sausage, 2x jam, 1x honey 🍯 2x coffee cream and some sugar. As well as a few packets of butter(Everything individually packed)When checking in you will be asked whether you would like tea or coffee.Thermos flasks then arrive. Where there is exactly ONE cup of coffee or tea in each.We really didn't expect much at breakfast, really. But here we were very disappointed. In particular, half of the products had already expired for 3 months.There is a communal wine barrel with two benches and a table inside. Maybe it makes more sense to simply put a selection here instead of packing everything individually into the baskets. For example, we only ate the cheese because we don't like anything else.It would have been nice to have at least one or two coat hooks in the wine barrel. So that you could at least hang the towels up to dry. Especially in the off-season when the sun ☀️ isn't really there.

Nice campsite, 2.5 km from Bad Dürkheim. Relatively quiet, you can distantly hear the street and flight activities. Sanitary is clean, affordable with ACSI in the off-season. Reception friendly. Nice area for hiking, cycling and good food. Lunch from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Great place 👍. Clean and always close sanitary buildings. Of course also an optimal location.

Insufficient price-performance ratio: Staying for two days in the low season with a camper van and two adults cost around 96 euros including tourist tax. Electricity and shower included. Place poorly maintained and muddy, toilets and showers not cleaned in the morning, facilities in poor condition, right next to the very busy sports airport with corresponding noise pollution.

Beautiful campsite in the Palatinate, located directly on the lake. Everything was clean and very nice staff. Inn right on the square, but we didn't visit.Beautiful walks possible in the vineyards.Went through for one night and were completely satisfied!
