Date night for the 11th wedding anniversary:A restaurant that we certainly wouldn't have found without Schlemmerblock and a recommendation. Cozy, great atmosphere, impeccable service, personal attention and fantastic food. Everything you could wish for. Thanks! We'd love to come back.

Nice Greek restaurant

The dining room is quite nice at first glance. But if you take a closer look, some corners need to be renovated, then it will definitely be more comfortable again. Food was very good.

This was our first time eating there and we absolutely loved it. The food is excellent and so is the service. We will be back!!!

We tried this wonderful restaurant on the Schlemmerblock today and are very enthusiastic about the pleasant visit. There is parking space, you can have a conversation in the restaurant itself at a reasonable volume, it is clean and well-kept and the staff is friendly, attentive and helpful. We had a variety of main courses and were completely satisfied, the price/performance ratio is very good. Thanks and see you next time!

Yesterday we were here for the first time after Corona.Now I can't say with certainty whether the owner or chef has changed during this time... but my wife and I cannot share the positive opinions here about the food. Things were significantly better before Corona.We both had the tapas plate (see picture). But what we received here had nothing to do with “restaurant quality” food... far from it. I would rather say “bistro quality”.In my opinion there was nothing fresh or homemade on the plate. As I said, see attached picture. We are a small but fine, down-to-earth restaurant or tapas bar. It should be clear that we are not in a star-rated kitchen, because then the dish would not cost €16 but €80.Nevertheless, our products are of high quality. Since our portfolio consists of 90% homemade dishes, such as schnitzel, souvlaki, tarte flambée, burgers, prawns, mussels, gyros, aioli and much more. In our opinion, we can also say that our cuisine consists largely of home-made dishes.If you asked, we would have been happy to offer you an alternative and also accept your criticism. We were here to eat, salad and various schnitzels were very good. We were served quickly and friendly.

Unfortunately, in our search for honest Odenwälder home cooking, we were disappointed. We have often heard that you can eat well here and we wanted to convince ourselves of that. We spontaneously wanted to try it out and ate schnitzel. Unfortunately there are only convenience products here too. The small but fresh salad was nicely prepared and tasty, even if the salad dressing was a ready-made product. The schnitzels consist of small, almost round pressed meat patties, the French fries are also a frozen product. It's a shame that the opportunity to process regional fresh products is not used here. The male waitress was always very polite and friendly - great. The furnishings seem a bit careless, as if someone wanted to spruce up something old with little effort and few resources.We can't understand the many good reviews unless you have no expectations of the food and are happy with everything that is served to you. This may be fine for customers who don't cook fresh at home, but we won't be coming back.Update based on owner's response:We are sorry if we perceived the salad dressing as industrially produced. If that's not the case - all the better. However, when it comes to schnitzels, you can't tell us otherwise. No schnitzels were pounded in the kitchen, as one does with fresh schnitzel meat. None of us had even finished the starter salad when the schnitzels came to the table. Please explain to me how to do this if they are not ready-made schnitzels. The schnitzels are guaranteed to be pre-breaded frozen goods that are only quickly fried. In addition, all four schnitzels were like one egg to another - in shape, size and thickness. When we cut through it and looked at the cut surface, we were sure that this must be pressed meat. No edge of fat, no tendon, no fiber - no sign of freshly cut schnitzel meat anywhere.Contrary to your opinion, we asked the staff but they were unable to give us any information.
