Well I don't know what to say... When we arrived in the car we didn't even want to get out and wanted to drive straight back when we saw the front of the "hotel". But we had already paid for everything and then decided to get out first and have a look (to save ourselves work, we left our luggage in the car if necessary). When we went around the corner we were a little relieved because the extension at the back (which you couldn't see from the street) at least had all the windows in and it didn't look as at risk of collapsing as the front part of the "hotel"... Why do I write “hotel” in quotation marks? I just don't want to call it a hotel. The furnishings downstairs (reception and anteroom) are quite nice to look at, but when you go into the stairwell with rooms... well 🫤 everything is very old-fashioned, green carpet, tiles in the bathroom like Grandma's deceased grandmother, elevator doesn't work and everything is rather poorly furnished. I don't know if I expected too much, but when we booked we were promised WiFi, which wasn't available. When I said “kitchen, kettle” I imagined something other than a single kettle on a desk under the mini TV... Anyway, when we arrived we were warmly greeted and after we were shown our room in person, we were greeted after a few minutes Asked the same gentleman to move to another room one floor higher because there was probably a mistake with another reservation. The balcony is quite good, we were just lucky that our neighbors in the hotel didn't have the idea to come to our side for a moment, which would have been possible due to the low barrier on the balconies. Unfortunately, I personally had bad luck with the bed. After the first night I wished I could sleep on the floor because I felt every single spring of the uncomfortable mattress on every damn part of my body. But from the second night onwards I came to terms with it and endured it. The only thing that really bothers me is the annoying squeaking of the bed. Not to mention the other “hotel visitors” who you could regularly hear screaming through the soundproofing of the building… (maybe they got it even worse 🤷🏽 we don’t know)About the bathroom: The shower is quite good (my favorite place in this “hotel”), a pleasantly strong water pressure and the temperature can be easily adjusted as desired. The toilet blanket held up quite well at first but flew off on the 3rd day... only God knows why!Little things like splinters of wood in the wall paneling, protruding metal brackets from a heater that no longer exists in the bathroom (which are also very dangerous), as well as the self-made fall protection on the loft bed... I don't even want to go into it any further. At least we had electricity and water! Maybe I'm used to better things, but I'm also very happy to be out of here soon.

Old and dilapidated. The manager is extremely friendly and helpful, but the condition of the apartments is below par. There is a good bakery across the street and Winterberg is 15 minutes by car.

I rented two rooms there, the amount was debited from my account. I did it a month before the planned arrival.... Two days before arrival I received an e-mail that my reservation had been canceled.... Strange behavior of the owner.... I do not recommend......

Cleanliness was okay. Beds were comfortable, breakfast was very rich. We felt like we had the hotel to ourselves as we didn't see/hear any other guests.

Old dilapidated hotel and restaurant. Closed, exterior paintless and dilapidated. Closed and in dire need of restoration. We stood with the entire family in front of a closed building.
