I was there for 10 days in September 2014 and can therefore only report for this period:My accommodation (1 person, self-catering apartment, not bookable via internet) was reasonable for the price offered. The Schoel family is extremely nice, and the apartment was handed over to me very clean, including bed linen, towels, kitchen utensils, etc.The horses had illnesses during my stay and therefore could not be used, which didn't bother me as a non-rider.The boats offered on some websites are a bit older and some have been repaired several times, but are still usable. If you have your own life jackets, you should bring them with you - the lakes are very large and the weather can change very quickly!The relationship with the other holidaymakers in the house was also very good thanks to the barbecue area/garden house and other amenities.Unfortunately, during my vacation there were cercariae in the Plön Lake (shore area), which caused a lot of trouble for me and other bathing guests. You should read and pay attention to the relevant information signs on the banks, right down to the small print.I recommend the area for older people without children, as the distance to other attractions is somewhat greater - for people who love an area in complete peace and who appreciate hiking, cycling or boat trips in their own boat, it is a hit.Internet and cell phone connections are a problem except for the city of Plön and the surrounding area, WiFi was not available / satellite reception along with TV and clock radio were. Car parking spaces and bicycle storage facilities are available directly at the house and in sufficient numbers.

Simply great. We stayed in Haus Sommerfrische for a week and absolutely enjoyed it. The apartment is clean, is right on the lake and the landlords are absolutely lovely. Due to its location on the lake, you can paddle, cycle, simply enjoy your time at the lake and go on various excursions. Just great.

Perfect trip with bicycle or by foot. Easy to find, clear signs. I can suggest it from kids to older ages. At the line of the way many great chances for an ice cream or just a cold drink. "Let's check it! "
