Great experience, nice and beautiful walks in the neighbourhood. Owners are very friendly and helpful. Good food and drinks, nice atmosphere. We are already planning to come back.

A successful weekend spent there.Clean, well-furnished rooms.Nice bathroom with a large shower.Delicious breakfast, lots of choice, cheese/sausage, jam, honey, Nutella, eggs,Bread, rolls, fruit salad.Coffee and tea...etc.Hosts are super friendly and helpful!!!If you wish you can also eat there.Very tasty soup, salad, bread with spread.There is a separate breakfast room with a buffet.A lounge with a bar.There is a good selection of drinks.A fireplace and lots of games 😊I felt very comfortable there.Peer and Margret are perfect hosts!!I'd love to come back!!Kind regardsMaria Thissen

Been here for 3 days.As strangers, you leave with the feeling that you have visited!Rooms are super clean, good bed, great breakfast, excellent service and super friendly people.We will definitely come back, and not just once 😉

Super location. Great people think along. Above all, they are not difficult and a lot is possible. Had a great holiday. Also great with the engine. Nice roads here, good views and lots to do. And which I am in favor of and is a big plus. The engines can go INSIDE. Have a nice beer in the evening with a fantastic sunset. A big 10

Stayed here for a midweek with the walking club. It is a great location for walks. Very beautiful and varied region. You will also receive many tips from the owners who also spend a lot of time walking in the area. The accommodation may not be equipped with amenities such as coffee in the room and so on, but that is more than compensated for by the service offered. Nothing is too much. Great breakfast and the 3-course dinner is highly recommended. The rooms are in excellent condition, there is plenty of space in the building and a large terrace around it. Everything free to use. There is a small parking lot at the back of the building, but parking on the street is no problem. It shouldn't be more than that. Had a great stay.

For the third time, a group of members of Walking Club De Korhoenstappers from Oud Turnhout spent a week with Peter and Margriet. It was finished again, delicious breakfast and dinner, very kindly received by the host and hostess, rooms in tip-top condition, conviviality, friendliness, everything perfect, beautiful walks, we had a great time, we will be back in September. Peter and Margriet, you are doing very well, keep up the good work. 👍👍👍👍👍

The hosts go to great lengths to ensure their guests have the best time. We booked three rooms with our family including grandparents. Our youngest turned 1 year old during our stay. The hosts decorated the breakfast table lavishly, there were fireworks at the table, the owner even dressed up as a giant teddy bear and in the evening a bingo game was organized for all the older children.We were also served a meal upon request and really enjoyed the food, which was great value for money.

We found Gretel von Birne to be very positive and warm throughout.Ideally located as a starting point for hikes. We really, really liked it, so we will definitely come back...Thank you again for my birthday surprise...⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ are absolutely justified here. Keep it up...

We really enjoyed our second time at Hotel Gretel von Birne. The owners are very hospitable and the service is a big ten! The breakfast was extensive and the rooms very clean, spacious and wonderful beds to sleep in, something we find very important on holiday. The hotel is in a prime location in Niedersfeld within walking distance of Lake Hillebachsee. Definitely worth repeating again, we would love to come back here! Marije & Tony

We really enjoyed our stay here. The owners are super friendly. The rooms are very nice… comfy beds and the duvets are soooooo nice!! ❤️ they also serve an excellent breakfast. We highly recommend and we will definitely be back.
