Nice accommodation, value for money is still right here. The food was very tasty, whether breakfast or dinner. Good location, the bus stops right in front of the inn. Went hiking in the Magic Forest and Hintersee. Then in the Wimbachklamm.

Have been here more often. Good rooms and location perfect. The food in the inn is very tasty 😋 and everyone is very friendly. We enjoy coming here and feel very comfortable. Are always very satisfied.

We have just been to the "Old Forester's House" for the umpteenth time with Angela and all her great colleagues and what can we say: We are very happy to repeat ourselves --- it was simply wonderful again!!! You arrive and you're "at home", it's always like family. Add to that the many "Heinzelmännchen" in the background who do an absolutely great job, excellent cuisine with seasonal products and perfect service, even if it has just rained (poured) like crazy again - a huge thank you to the whole team !!! On top of that, a nice and large apartment (perfect for us as "snorers" :-), breakfast with homemade jams and everything else you need to get going in the morning - everything is just right with Angela and her entire team !! We'll definitely be back and are really looking forward to 2025 - with that in mind, a big thank you again for everything, best wishes and see you soon, Heike & Frank

We booked at very short notice, spent three nights in the forester's house and were completely satisfied. The room was very clean and the food was delicious. Our one and a half year old son was able to run around relaxed and was warmly welcomed. Despite the proximity to the road, no car noise could be heard. Beautiful mountains all around and very conveniently located for hiking.Gladly again and many thanks to the team!

Super delicious food at fair prices in a great location. Service very attentive and friendly. You can even watch the kitchen staff cooking through the open kitchen. Can only be recommended!

The food was really good and tasty, and the price/performance ratio was absolutely fine. There was enough choice on the menu and the waiting time was relaxed. The service was the only thing we didn't like. Everything was pretty much without words and inattentive - but you never know what was going on during the day - just shouldn't be. Because every guest wants nice and reasonable service.

We were there recently and wanted to have dinner......The majority of the items on the menu were not available. There were no cold dishes at all. The cook is overloaded.The so-called Wiener Schnitzel was made without! some side dish only served with fries.Only when asked was there some mayo added.So bad and unequaled in service and cuisine, unparalleled, unimaginative and unloving.

We were here for a week on a hiking holiday. We had spacious, very clean rooms with everything you need and a cozy covered balcony. The breakfast was delicious, the host family is very friendly, you feel completely at home.Very convenient starting point for beautiful hikes. The bus stop is in front of the house and you can use the bus for free with your guest card.

I can only rate the restaurant! The food was very tasty. The portions were ok for the price.What absolutely doesn't work, and that's why a star is deducted, is the older gentleman who serves.No “hello” no “bye” everything was accepted or answered in a very sloppy manner as we ran past.Sorry, I've never experienced anything so unfriendly. And it makes sooo sooo much difference when you feel welcome. I come from the industry myself and know how stressful it is, but you still have to keep yourself under control. After the tip, a proper farewell...that should go without saying!The young waitress tried to “excuse” his behavior. She was kind and felt sorry for me!
