The positive first: breakfast crew very attentive and good buffet. Otherwise unfortunately disappointing. We were on a bike tour and had booked two nights there because we particularly liked the restaurant and bar on site on the website. These were also confirmed to us when we checked in at reception and we were given an information sheet in which the bar was open from 5:30 p.m. and the last reservation for the restaurant was until 8:00 p.m. At 7:30 p.m. we were turned away from the restaurant because they would no longer accept reservations. There were about 3 tables occupied. When I asked where we could get something decent to eat after traveling 100km by bike to Amrum = bad prospects, there might be a possibility where we could inquire by phone. We then found a restaurant a few steps away where we were served. The bar was closed on both evenings contrary to the stated opening days. Fortunately, we were welcomed and warmly served at “Zum Fischbäcker”. Unfortunately, in conversations with locals, it was explained to us several times that the "Hüttmann" used to be an extremely good address... It's a shame... Amrum was and remains, as always, worth a visit :-)

Our room was already pretty worn out (cracks in silicone joints in many places, paint peeling off on the window frame, floor covering partially lowered, key in the closet kept falling out of the lock, joints in the shower cubicle moldy). Very nice staff. Very good breakfast buffet! Very good location. If you leave before 8 a.m., unfortunately no breakfast (even though booked and paid for), no alternative such as a packed lunch, no refund!

We had an extended weekend in Amrum. Everything was exactly as I imagined. Other restaurants within walking distance, bus stop within sight. Super friendly and helpful employees. Great breakfast buffet with particularly friendly service staff. Nice, well-arranged hotel bar with attentive service that always looks after the well-being of the guests. Unfortunately there were also problems with Wi-Fi not working, but according to the staff everything should be better now that the hotel has a new operator.

We had reserved a table in the restaurant on September 22nd, 24 for September 5th, 2024. Written confirmation has been emailed to us. As it turned out by chance, the restaurant is only open for house guests on September 5th, 2024. After asking personally twice, we were told that our reservation had been canceled.So this is what bad service looks like.

Too bad...Unfortunately the suite wasn't as hoped. 👎The balcony, greasy.Curtains not raked in properlyKitchenette: , Dishwasher broken,Glasses greasy in the cupboard. Coffee machine outdated and dirty!Overall, one has to say,unfortunately not recommended.To top it all off, the apartment was cleaned before check out and unfortunately we were no longer able to freshen up for departure.It's a shame, we don't come to Hüttmann anymore!!!

I would love to relax with my family again at any time. Even before we arrived, they were very committed and did everything they could to make my wishes come true. I always received friendly and competent advice.Even my dog was welcome. There were bowls and a surprise prepared. We were very happy about that. The breakfast was great. Everything was added immediately. The employees were busy, but were always very accommodating. The stay was extremely pleasant for us.

We WERE New Year's Eve regulars at the Hüttmann for several years. It's a shame to see how things continue to go downhill.Great staff including the boss has left. It's a shame about Ms. Winter, who anticipated your every wish, did everything for a great stay, and was simply the soul of the hotel for years.Price performance is absolutely no longer right here!We've had the same room for 4 years now, the shelf for the soap in the shower has been missing for three years, the shower door is broken and dirty!For two years now there has only been a curtain in the bathroom, so you could always take a look into the toilet from outside.Our room was only cleaned once during our last stay. I don't need housekeeping every day!But: it would have been nice if someone had emptied the garbage after 3 days - that's all we wanted. Even when asked, nothing happened. Two days later we went back to reception and lo and behold - someone was there the day before we left!We travel every year with our two dogs.Every year there were already bowls ready, because we knew that we only had mini travel bowls for two large dogs for our long journey (12 hours)!We had to ask at reception THREE times before we finally received a bowl late in the evening on the second day.Even so, people no longer felt very welcome when I think of the beautiful Feuerzangenbowle evenings in previous years, which are now only held sporadically. On New Year's morning you always got a small bottle of champagne... unfortunately there's nothing left.. no more warmth, you just notice that you want to save money here.However, we wanted to give the Hüttmann one last chance this year and book it for New Year's Eve. When asked several times it was said that only arrangements would be offered over New Year's Eve and that they wouldn't be ready until June... so far so good... when asked in June it was said - end of June/beginning of July. They wanted to let me know straight away when something was out - I'm still waiting for that notice!!!We have now booked somewhere else, as the capacity in Amrum over New Year's Eve is limited, even with a dog.It's really a shame, dear Hotel Hüttmann!

My single room seemed old-fashioned and simply furnished. WiFi was never available, which is annoying when you still have an online work appointment. Breakfast buffet was OK. Overall, unfortunately the price/performance doesn't match, so I would have expected more for the supposed 4 stars.

First things first: why aren't there sausages for breakfast? I'm really disappointed... seriously.In short (more on this below): perfect (!) location; beautiful hotel complex; inadequate rooms; questionable service; unsatisfactory breakfast; All in all: too expensive for the performance offered, but for half (literally half) the price I would be able to give a (very) good rating. Price/performance scared us away.We booked through Check24 and added in the message that we were traveling with a small dog. We were not informed that we were to be moved to another room on the day of arrival - because of the dog - which we had not booked. It wasn't in the main house and was in some sort of "apartment complex". We were disappointed by this, especially since we found neither a dog bed nor one (or even two) dog bowls in the (dog!) room itself. So our dog slept on chair cushions and our blanket and initially drank water from a glass and ate from a plastic bag - because we hadn't expected that in a "dog-friendly" and "not cheap" hotel.When we asked "the boss" (?) in the restaurant the next morning for a bowl for our room, she replied with "if we gave that to every dog, then we wouldn't have any more bowls here". I think that with the specific criticism below and with this statement from the boss, our absence is sealed and I will now happily give 2 stars instead of 3 stars, simply because I'm angry :)

- No WiFi available during the entire stay.- Room furnishings are outdated and therefore in somewhat poor condition.- Stressed, unfriendly staff- Room cleaning was only limited to changing towels and roughly wiping the floors. Overall, the entire facility, including the breakfast room, seemed a bit unclean.In short, I would have expected a lot more for the price, lofty hotel name & suite...

We had a really nice week in Amrum, especially at the Hotel Hüttmann. Questions were responded to quickly and extremely nicely. Price/performance was really top here. The breakfast buffet was still fully available even at later times. We'd love to come back.

We spontaneously stayed at the Hotel Hüttmann over the Whitsun holidays and really enjoyed ourselves there. We received a very warm welcome and had a room in the main building on the 2nd floor with a nice little balcony. We were a bit surprised by the bad reviews and can't fully understand it. The rooms are not up to date but everything was spacious, clean and well maintained. The shower could be a little bigger and a shelf would be nice. But we have had smaller showers in new hotels. We really liked the breakfast buffet. From the staff to the selection and quality, it's top notch. Really high praise!!The location is also perfect - everything in Norddorf is within walking distance. Beach, cinema, restaurants, pedestrian zone. It's nice that there is still such a nice old hotel with charm and history on the island.Thank you for the lovely stay - we would love to come back!

I felt very comfortable. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, both in the hotel and in the restaurant. The cuisine is way better than it was 6 years ago when I ate here for the first time. All in all: highly recommended - I came home feeling very refreshed. Thanks!

The 7 of us spent our vacation in the large holiday apartment and we were all absolutely thrilled.The apartment is super large and comfortably furnished.The large dining table and the seating area with 3! Sofas allow everyone to find “their” place.There was a microwave, dishwasher, dryer, kettle... basically everything.Daily cleaning and towel change by friendly service staff.The breakfast in the hotel was great and didn't miss anything.If it could give 10 stars, Hüttmann would get it.Thank you for the “feel-good service”We'll be back!

We spent Christmas and New Year's Eve there and were completely satisfied. A very good, varied cuisine and friendly, helpful staff in all areas contributed to this. As far as the furnishings of the rooms (that we saw) are concerned, there is still room for improvement, i.e. the furniture and curtains are no longer up to date. Therefore one star less. Otherwise we felt comfortable and also really enjoyed the wellness area. The treatments such as massage etc. are also highly recommended. In short, we have reserved again for next Christmas/New Year's Eve.

Warning, not suitable for relaxation. Strong cell phone towers in the immediate area, measurably strong radiation in the rooms, no understanding from the reception. Stayed somewhere else.
