The food was okay.Unfortunately, the service was unfriendly (except for a blonde waitress who was friendly) and it was not possible to choose a different potato side dish for the main course (mashed potatoes instead of butter potatoes), although both are available on the menu.Unfortunately we didn't feel welcome and will therefore not be coming back.

The food was ok, but the service and the waitresses were a disaster.Unfortunately it is not possible to get a little extra sauce or choose another side dish to go with the main course. After asking again for a mustard sauce, they said the kitchen was going crazy because we had already ordered so much (lemon for the fish) then suddenly a “sauce for the plaice fillet” came when my friend wanted this meal together with the fish She realized that it was a sweet milk sauce, which even when the waitress tried it, she had horror on her face!I will never go there again!

Really liked:The room is extremely clean and lovingly maintained.Everything is as good as new and kept in a friendly white. The view is fantastic.Upon arrival you will be instructed on how to use the room and how the windows work will be highlighted in detail. The room attendants always prepare the room in the morning if this is requested by the guest. A kettle is available, as is a clothes horse.Particularly:The communication is North German friendly. At breakfast you will be asked whether room cleaning is necessary, and if you have committed any misconduct the day before, you will be reprimanded.Unfortunately, it is not possible to use a SmartTV. There are only public and private channels here. You can only use streaming services on your own devices using your own data volume (more on this under “Can be improved”)Can be improved:The backlogs in digitalization and mobility transition are also apparent here, symbolically for the entire Federal Republic of Germany. While in the inn itself you can use the Internet via WLAN with an acceptable 30mbit/s, in the suite house you only have 1.5mbit/s, even with the best WLAN reception. That's enough for WhatsApp, but route planning via Komoot or Google Maps - no chance. So you have to rely on your own mobile data volume. With regard to the mobility transition, the first thing that should be mentioned here is the lack of charging points for e-mobility. Neither wall boxes nor the simplest Schuko sockets for the eBike are available on the bike stands. The bike racks themselves are suitable for the island's simple rental bikes, but they can hardly accommodate a modern eBike or eMTB without damaging it. (We don't even have to talk about the possibility of securing it to the frame using a U-lock.) Replacing it with the “modern” Bochum U-lock would make more than sense here.In the course of decarbonization, reducing car parking spaces to create more space for bicycles would better reflect the ravages of time.

Restaurant reviewFood & ambience good, unfortunately not recommended at all with (small) children.I was here with my wife, my daughter (1 year old) and my parents for dinner at 5:30 p.m. Table was reserved with reference to a child, high chair is available.First of all, I have to say that the food and ambience were really good. The waitress who served us was also very friendly. Now unfortunately the negative:When our little daughter got tired, my wife put her in the carrier and after a whopping 5 minutes she was already asleep.During this time my wife had already left the guest room and was in the entrance area in order to disturb as little as possible. Walkways were always kept clear.Nevertheless, one of the other waiters (or the landlord?) asked her rather rudely to leave the restaurant with my daughter (12°C outside temperature), as the “shouting” would disturb the other guests.Previously we had quite a bit of fun with the other guests in our guest room and everyone had no problem with having a small child, but was quite amused. We expected a little more hospitality in a pub. Unfortunately, this is very weak on a human level. If you have no empathy for families with (small) children, you should probably advertise this directly on your website. At least that is our opinion. In any case, we won't be coming back and can't recommend this restaurant either.

I don't know what kind of day we had in this restaurant - but it can't go completely uncommented, the experience was simply too drastic for that. And when I read all the positive reviews, I feel even more sorry. Our families were in Amrum at the same time, a table for 10 people was reserved, we arrived on time. We were divided into a total of 3 individual tables in the garden. It is not possible to set up a blackboard or a large table where everyone can sit. When making the reservation, they forgot to mention two children under the age of 3 as “persons”. An unforgivable faux pas on our part as it turned out. When a missing couple arrived ten minutes later, the waiter in charge of us simply freaked out - and you can put it as it is. He lost all control. They came through the gate into the restaurant garden, which was empty (!) except for us, and said hello to us. We were the only guests outside at the time. There were exactly two seats left for them at one of our three tables. The waiter was just serving the aperitif, visibly annoyed, when he saw the two and started shouting uncontrollably. “But that can’t be right now! How two more? Those two too? No, that doesn't work. "No, that's just not possible." - shook his head, gesticulated wildly and ran back into the restaurant, only to come out seconds later cursing and telling us that it doesn't work that way. The kitchen is small, 10 people are registered, 12 are now there (the children had just gotten their food there), it doesn't work that way. We were simply at a loss for a moment. We are all still stunned today by the waiter's verbal loss of control. The couple who had just arrived were so offended that they backed out of the garden within minutes. In order to discuss what to do next as a family (quickly looking for another restaurant vs. staying because the hungry kids had just gotten their food), my stepfather took his champagne glass and went to the next table. Then the waiter ran out of the restaurant again and reprimanded him, saying that he “can’t just walk from one table to the other with his glass,” he had to stay at his table. The situation was the definition of absurdity.A completely uninvolved female service member who was just starting her job came over and had the situation explained to her. She apologized for her colleague, saying he was “just like that sometimes.” In the end, she at least took some of the shock away from the situation, but also couldn't find any resolving words of invitation. When asked what they would have done if the couple came “individually,” they said: “Yes, that would be ok.”It's a shame for us because as a family we really wanted to spend this evening in the best weather. We were prepared for a small kitchen so that we wouldn't be able to eat at the same time and were in the mood for “slow food”. We expected everything. In shock, we even offered to just have a drink and not eat anything so as not to burden the kitchen and still be able to be together, but even that was rejected by the service. The two were simply too much. That their “withdrawal” was not prevented with conciliatory words (“Please sit with your family, if it is okay with you that you only get something to drink.” or similar) but that this escape was made possible to simply accept the deterred guests, that still leaves us speechless to this day.Edit: the owner's answer claims that there were 19 of us, which is simply not true. There were 10 people. On site when another couple joined us (not 4 people), that makes 12, not 19. With nieces, even that would justify such behavior on the part of the service staff in the situation. However, it is impressive how you stand behind your staff. And thank you for your time.

I was visiting family in Sylt and didn't want to spend the night there. I spontaneously got a room for one night in Amrum and ended up there and now have the plan to take a little break in Amrum with my husband every year.A very good accommodation with the best food and a great breakfast.Thank you very much!

For me e.g. Currently the best restaurant. The competent service alone is worth its weight in gold. Very good meals. You can eat outside. We were lucky enough to be able to sit in the small, cozy room. A nice end to our week in Amrum.
