Gleis1 in Amorbach has “established itself”. Our visits have always gone *without reproach*, especially when HANNES works in service. Young, friendly, quick-witted and quick, simply a “fresh” employee for whom nothing is too much. Overall, please don't let up (conceptually and in terms of quality), then this location with its special flair has the right to be rated with 5 stars.

We arrived here after a walk and were given a very friendly welcome and ate a Crete schnitzel and it was the best schnitzel I've ever eaten and the view of the old trains and wagons was great so I'll definitely come back more often

The two of us ate here today and to put it briefly: Great! There is absolutely nothing to complain about and we are already looking forward to our next visit.Ambiance:Nicely furnished, some even with real train seats. Wall paneling, the whole interior is reminiscent of traveling by train, without the theme being overly intrusive. The lighting is neither too bright nor too dark, warm and homely. You feel very comfortable here.Menu:The menu is very clearly laid out, with food at the front and drinks at the back. The font and size are comfortable to read and the selection is large but not overwhelming. An interesting combination of Greek and German cuisine. There are also a few burgers, but we were there for the schnitzel. A card with an inviting welcome text is also included.Service:The house was well attended, but not completely full. The staff was extremely friendly, quick, attentive and courteous without being intrusive. To be honest, I don't know the last time I was served so well. A very big thank you.Food and drinks:The only minor drawback I could say is that I couldn't find any regional beer on the menu. I still had a treat. As a starter we had Saganaki. A decent sized portion, nicely presented and luckily we shared it. Was super tasty! Some other restaurants can take a leaf out of the side salad. It is varied and attractively prepared and you can choose between three dressings. By the way, it should be mentioned that it tasted very good and I'm not a big salad eater. The cream schnitzel with mushrooms and spaetzle and the cheese and garlic schnitzel with fried potatoes were also very large portions and again very tasty. Even though we were already stuffed from top to bottom, we couldn't help but eat it all.Prices:The prices are absolutely fair. A large portion of schnitzel with fried potatoes (or fries or spaetzle) with a side salad costs between €16 and €20. The drinks prices are also within the usual range. In short: We are fed up, but we have not become poor. This was the longest review I've ever written, we'll definitely be back.

Great location. Very attentive service. Very good cuisine. Childhood memories are brought back on the upper floor. Some things from the DB's 80s are on display here. There are also great train exhibits on the tracks in the immediate vicinity.
