There were 6 of us (4 adults, 2 children) there twice for dinner, everything is freshly prepared, but you have to wait a little longer, the non-alcoholic cocktails are great

Top holiday apartment with everything you need, super comfortable bed, nice shower room with floor heating, combined living-dining area with TV and nice sofa bed, etc. As well as our own entrance and large terrace, towels and bed linen are available. Our two dogs were welcome and were allowed into the dining room. The apartment and all other facilities were very, very clean and well maintainedBreakfast very tasty and rich.Hosts and staff very accommodating and super friendly and helpful.Beautiful view with lots of peace and quiet, Oberhof Mitte and the Biathlon Center can be reached on foot in just a few minutes.Price-performance cannot be toppedThank you again for the lovely days with you👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍PS:I DO NOT understand the bad reviews at all, either never there or fake entries 🤬😡

We went here for dinner twice in our three day stay. The young waitress and the boss were both very nice and helpful. The food was fresh, very tasty and came very quickly.Many restaurants here in Oberhof can learn a lesson from this. Otherwise it is hardly possible to spontaneously stop off somewhere in town and you are often turned away in an unfriendly manner if you have not made a reservation.We got a table here straight away.Price/performance is perfect here. So the restaurant is highly recommended. We can't say anything about the rooms, we slept somewhere else.

Super tasty food at very good prices in Oberhof. Elsewhere you pay far too much for food that you cook better yourself. Great, keep it up. We'll definitely come back to eat with them more often on our vacation!

We stayed at the Pension Waldschlösschen in Oberhof for the Rennsteig run weekend. OK for just staying overnight to save time, unfortunately nothing more. The location is good, parking spaces available.The room (we booked a double room and got an apartment) was ok. A bit old. However, there was no heating (no towel radiator in the bathroom either) and the outside temperature was 14 degrees in a room on the ground floor with a tiled floor - it was extremely cold. The water was either lukewarm or ice cold on Sunday morning.At dinner a friend had ordered salmon, it was still frozen in the middle - something like that shouldn't happen! The fried potatoes weren't really fried potatoes either.What annoyed me most was the breakfast on the day of the run. It is known that the Rennsteig Run is taking place and 90% of the guests in the house were runners. I can expect that the breakfast times will be adjusted. The week before I had written an email specifically about this. After asking, the breakfast time was brought forward from 8 a.m. to 6 a.m. If you have to be at the Grenzadler by 7 a.m. at the latest, it's very stressful. Unfortunately, the 6 o'clock didn't really work out either. That's when they just started clearing things out. Hot bread rolls, then gradually spread, butter, etc. Sorry, that doesn't work!!!Price-performance doesn't suit me at all €75 per person/night. It's a shame, I would have liked to come back before the next Rennsteig runs, but I'll find something else or go back early.

Unfortunately we couldn't rate the room, but it would have been very interesting. We would like to thank you again for the nice hospitality and the delicious food. Definitely highly recommended!!!

Very nice rooms and a good breakfast. The view is great and the restaurant makes really tasty food. The Rostbrätl is particularly recommended.

The guesthouse is very centrally located, with a great view. We had a family room in the old building that was very spacious and had everything we needed. The bathroom is a bit small, but there's no other way. Our child had his own room.The single room for my mother-in-law was a holiday apartment in the new building. Wow, nice and spacious, great view, there was everything your heart could desire.The breakfast buffet was delicious, there was something for everyone. The hosts were very attentive and always refilled everything.The coffee was perfect for me, really tasty. Definitely too thin for normal coffee drinkers ;-)The food in the restaurant was also delicious, there was nothing to complain about.A really nice short vacation with the family.

Were there to eat, the staff was friendly but the food, schnitzel with asparagus, wasn't that great. Schnitzel very thin, asparagus and potatoes were a bit hard. The taste is more like a snack.

If someone is looking for nice accommodation in Oberhof, where value for money is lived with a lot of friendliness and gastronomic understanding and passed on to the guest, they should not pass by the Waldschlösschen, but rather go in, stay and enjoy. Have lots of fun with it. We felt very comfortable. Thanks
