Nice little hotel with very friendly staff. Everything is very clean, although a little paint here and there would help. “Town center” and the thermal baths are very easy to reach, as are beautiful hiking trails. If in doubt, just ask the hotel, you will definitely get help. The food is also recommended!

I stayed in this hotel last summer as part of a spa treatment. The hotel itself is getting old for a long time. The swimming pool is permanently closed and is supposedly being renovated, but there was no sign of any renovation work. Obviously you're just trying to save money, but then you shouldn't advertise a swimming pool! There are hardly any parking spaces available either.Breakfast is still ok. But lunch, if you can call it "food", is warmed-up ready-made meals, probably even straight from a can.An employee from the service area even openly said that the owners don't use any fresh food. It's just warming up. The owner's husband does the cooking. No trained chef available. The only positive thing: The staff in the service area is friendly.Absolutely unsuitable as a spa hotel.I cannot recommend this hotel!

I am often in Bad Salzuflen for work and after many years I have been able to experience almost all of the hotels in Bad S. Hotel Joh has never disappointed me, nice and courteous staff, flexible and helpful. Yes, the hotel is not the newest but the rooms and bathrooms are renovated and, above all, spotlessly clean. Many x-star hotels can learn a lot from this. That's why I can't understand some of the negative reviews about this hotel, especially when you consider how much this accommodation ultimately costs compared to many other providers (especially during trade fairs). My expectations are always fully met and I will stay here again even if I don't get scrambled eggs/salmon for breakfast and may have to walk 200 m to find a parking space. People care, but if you want to find a fly in the ointment, you'll always find one.

Inactive swimming pool, unpleasantly poor breakfast and unfriendly front office staff. The room was not as booked, but the full price was still paid

Very friendly and courteous staff.Unfortunately the swimming pool was closed during our stay. Rooms are functionally equipped. As with many other hotels, the bed was far too soft for me.

We stayed in the hotel for two weeks and went on holiday in Bad Salzuflen. The room in the hotel was great, quiet and very clean. The food was very varied and we enjoyed it. The chef was very attentive and always took my husband's food intolerance into account. Once we had pizza, it was just as good as the Italian restaurant. The owner and the entire staff are very nice, warm and attentive, something you don't find very often these days. Unfortunately the swimming pool is closed, but it is being renovated and will certainly reopen soon. The location of the hotel is very good, you can easily walk into the city and also into the spa park. All in all, a great two weeks and we'll definitely be back

So if the behavior of the staff is like the one who drove the hotel van, overtook us unnecessarily quickly and braked twice, then I don't want to know what it's like to spend a night there...
