very friendly couple, nice quiet room with good facilities. The breakfast was fabulous, even special requests (gluten-free bread) were taken into account, even though we only provided the information very late the evening before.

Hosts also ask whether there are certain restrictions on what should be taken into account.We slept very well!Very clean house. Clean, tidy rooms. Bathroom very clean! Unfortunately, the main road is partially closed and therefore the journey there is quite complicated, especially in the dark it is very adventurous. The hostess and her husband were super friendly and we had many interesting conversations. The breakfast was super delicious and also beautifully prepared. So it wasn't a big deal that there were no rolls.

Exactly what we were looking for: quiet location, no tourist hustle and bustle, relatively large rooms and reasonable prices. The breakfast is plentiful and tasty.You quickly get used to the somewhat rough tone here in the north, it's always good to just join in! The signs in the rooms also take some getting used to. You soon notice that things are more tranquil here than in the big, expensive hotels... sometimes a shower doesn't work 100% because the screw connections are defective and showering produces steam, which seems to be strange here because there is no vent, which is recommended It is, at least in the summer, that you bring a fan.The only thing that really bothered me was that on Sundays there was noisy work being done on the neighboring house, which was getting a new reed roof...

The price range here is €25 per person per night with breakfast, which is very good. The house is getting old...The ladies of the house put a lot of effort into it, breakfast was good. Rooms mediocre. We were a little irritated by the sign on the door (see photo). Unfortunately, there is little to no possibility for electric cars, or in our case Hybrid Hynday, to refuel nearby. In the house we were answered with a resounding no to our request. For us this would of course be against payment... so not recommended for electric car drivers...Addition to the answer: It's a shame that you treat paying customers like this, or people at all. But now everyone can decide for themselves whether they want to spend their time here. It's neither natural cosmetics nor anything else, but a pain gel for the back (bed, mattress)

We stayed with Rita and Jürgen for the second time this summer because we liked it so much last year! This time we came from England with my sister and brother-in-law; they were also thrilled by the warm atmosphere and the sumptuous breakfast. My brother-in-law's (vegetarian) wishes were also taken into account. Our daughter and her husband and child also stayed with us for two nights. So we immediately took over all the rooms😜. Everyone was enthusiastic about the beautiful garden and the many opportunities to spend time there. For us smokers there was a chance to stay dry even when it was raining. There was an old, well-integrated Bundeswehr cabin, very comfortably furnished. We spent every evening there very socially until we went to bed! The rooms are simple, functional, very clean and cozy! And always enough hot water!!! There is a tea kitchen where you can also do little things! You can use the refrigerator, microwave, kettle, coffee machine👍We don't need a television on vacation, but there is one in the breakfast room that everyone can use. As well as board games.We were well advised about sights or restaurants, castles and other interesting things to do. Everything is easy to reach. There are also many brochures in the room for information.We also had a nice barbecue evening, everyone brought something with them and Jürgen was there for it“Fire” ensured. Rita had interesting, simple ideas for our vegetarians too, which were very tasty. It was a long, beautiful and fun evening! Thanks again for this “Rita and Jürgen” 👍!!!RITA AND JÜRGEN ARE EXCELLENTLY NICE HOSTS!We will of course be happy to come back!

We flew from England to Hamburg where my sister picked up my husband and I to stay at the Hemmerdeich-Alte Schule guesthouse for 7 days. My sister recommended this accommodation to us because she had been there before and she really liked it. She didn't disappoint us. Our hosts Rita and Jürgen warmly welcomed us when we arrived and were always available to help us during our weeks in their guest house. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and we slept wonderfully. The duck wallpapers helped with slumber :) Rita and Jürgen took care of our extensive selection at the breakfast table every day. The kitchenette ensured that we could treat ourselves to coffee and tea every now and then and the fridge of course kept our snacks and drinks cool. The garden is a paradise, with a pond and diverse flora.We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back! Many thanks to Rita and Jürgen!
