Beautiful location, beautiful walks. Manager very friendly, Dutch speaking. Restaurant not open despite indication on the internet. However, a quick snack can be prepared upon request. Sandwich service available. Kiosk not really open either... There is something for sale, but it was not worth mentioning when we were there in October. Private sanitary facilities poorly maintained, everything is there. With a lot of rain a real mud puddle. What is on the internet seems better than it actually is. But for the location 4 stars!

We stopped at the restaurant while on a bike ride. My Jägerschnitzel with fried potatoes was delicious. Just a little manageable when it comes to portions. The bike path then took us past this beautiful campsite and the whole complex makes us curious for more. It looks inviting and very versatile. I can imagine camping there for several days. The different cabins are imaginative and the area is simply beautiful.

The expectations were high, also because of the photos and reviews, but in practice it was a bit disappointing, especially the sometimes very narrow roads that you have to drive on to get somewhere, especially if you go out with a caravan behind you. your car 😡But what is very disappointing is the shower room, very outdated, doors were warped due to moisture, etc., no, this building deserves a complete restoration with a modern shower and washing facilities, we will not return to it, a pity!

The campsite is located in an idyllic spot. Friendly staff and you can eat there. You can order fresh rolls there every day. Toilet building is clean but outdated, outdated. Cycling further is disappointing, all mountains and hills. You can easily cycle to the town of Bockenau, but there is nothing to do there. Large supermarkets are nearby.

For me this is a nice campsite.Wonderfully quiet, after the high season, and beautifully green.Hiker's hut (no. 2) is a nice and basic hut with excellent beds. And it is located nicely next to a pond.Sanitary facilities and swimming pool are also fine.Friendly owners and a very dog-friendly campsite.

The campsite itself is nice with nice fields and the food was very good. Staff are very friendly and helpful. It's all a bit outdated and very old, as if nothing has ever been done about it in the last 10 years.Toilet and showers were dirty.Front door of shower building that had fallen off its hinges several times. Doors sawn off because they stick. Very few water tap points available. And only 1 hot water tap at the washing up facility. And it looks nasty there too.

It seems as if the campsite wants to drive the last cyclists away from here. The artificial road bumps without passage for bicycles are just annoying. Most cyclists ride the route clockwise and are therefore slow anyway. A sign indicating children playing would also have been sufficient. Such measures will only make the small railway cycle path less attractive. The shortened opening hours of the shop fit in very well. In the next few months I will give the campsite and the small railway cycle path a wide berth. This is not how they boost tourism in this area!
