Small idyllic island in the Steinhuder Meer. We enjoyed the silence. It was completely relaxing not to have a television. What should be highlighted is the excellent service, which sometimes extends beyond the end of the workday. The food in the morning and evening was very tasty. We'd love to come :-)

Anyone who likes peace and quiet, good food and good service will feel very comfortable here! The one-night stay on the island was really nice. When you arrive on the island you are warmly welcomed and shown to the accommodation room, which is very nicely and lovingly furnished.A table for dinner has already been reserved. The dinner was excellent. Both asparagus, potatoes and the meat were on point! Everything was very fresh and nothing was dry! The service here was also very friendly and attentive. The breakfast the next morning was excellent!!! The buffet was lovingly prepared and absolutely nothing was missing! Even the egg specialties were freshly prepared upon request! You won't find anything like this in some 4-star hotels. Here too, the service and friendliness with which we were welcomed was excellent! Thanks to the team for the great experience.

The island of Wilhelmstein is worth a trip and is also possible with a wheelchair. However, you should use the toilet again before the ship leaves; unfortunately there are no disabled toilets on the island. Unfortunately, you cannot currently visit the fortress independently as a wheelchair user. A gravel path leads around Kompline. I would like the proceeds from the tourist tax to also be used to purchase a stair-climbing wheelchair. Then everyone would have the opportunity to explore the fortress. It would currently be good advertising and a unique selling point. Our European Parliament is currently looking for a holiday destination that offers inclusion.

The location and the concept are great. The rooms are functional but the quiet in the evening is indescribable. Only the pillows are extremely hard and very uncomfortable! The breakfast is again really very good and extensive!

The smallest island I know. There was too much emphasis on tourism for my taste. Music with a singer who is supposed to set the mood. I would have found the island more attractive in its natural state, especially because of the castle/fortress. But: every Jeck is different. ;)A beautiful island in itself.

Unfortunately, when selling tickets, no mention was made of the excessive and incessant noise pollution caused by music on the island. No quiet island idyll possible.
