Altes Forsthaus

We stayed there overnight as a break from the Lieserpfad hike. The lady was snappy in a very pleasant way and at the same time very helpful and accommodating.The bed in my room was a bit hard, but otherwise everything is good.The village suffered a lot from Corona, many restaurants are closed, so the surrounding area seems a bit desolate

Unfortunately we also had difficulties with the confirmation at the start, our booking was not found, but we had already booked and paid for it in February. But then we got the room with breakfast etc. The gentleman on site was very friendly, helpful, the rooms were also clean and... OK.

The rooms are designed with a lot of love. A television is available in the room. WiFi is free of charge. There was already a welcome bottle of water in the room. You could have breakfast in the garden. There were fresh scrambled eggs. Nothing was missing. The price-performance ratio is 5 stars. There is good parking and the location is central. Dogs are very welcome. The Eifel Clinic is nearby. We will go here again.

A very nice, friendly landlady. She will even prepare a packed lunch upon request. And the bed is great. I would also like to have the great wardrobe. And it is wonderfully quiet.

This accommodation has consistently positive reviews and so I don't think what I experienced is everyday, but I have to get it off my chest...:had a double room in November 23 for the period from December 25th. booked and confirmed by January 2nd, 2024. A week before arrival I sought contact again regarding arrival time, keys, etc.After numerous attempts, neither in writing nor by telephone. someone reported back!!! Only on Saturday December 23rd. then call. Contact ... with the statement: yes, the booking exists, but she had accidentally (it can happen) made a double booking and now had to think about how to do it, with the note that I might have to go to an "emergency room" over New Year's Eve ...?!?! I'M SORRY, WHAT ?!?! I booked for over a week and am supposed to go to an emergency room with my wife...?!?! Yes, after all, she was at work, something like that could happen in the rush and she would get in touch again next Monday (i.e. one day before my arrival) and tell me how we would do it then...Sorry... that doesn't work at all!!!! I'm sorry if you're stressed about your job and pension, but don't report it first (as I said, I tried several times by phone and in writing!!!) and then statements like that...Luckily I found an alternative at short notice... but it could have ended in failure!!! ...and that one day before Christmas Eve!!! You can perhaps imagine how high the stress level was for me... this way of dealing with guests is simply not possible!!!! One star is still 2 too many for this rating, but unfortunately you have to give one star otherwise you can't rate it...

Spacious, fresh room with warm bedding. Sanitary facilities fine and clean.Very friendly owner. Contactless check-in went perfectly. Making a cup of tea in the kitchen was no problem! In the morning a beautiful and very extensive breakfast. Everything is thought of. You can also make your own lunch to take with you. FantasticThe surroundings are beautiful. I walked the Eifelsteig and went to the castle in the evening. Very worthwhile.

Room is clean, has everything you need. Breakfast is very generous and you can even get something to take with you. All in all a nice stay

We spent one night there to do the castle via ferrata. The lady on the phone was very friendly. The rooms were large and clean, you felt like you were staying with friends. The breakfast was varied and sufficient. We were allowed to pack provisions for the day.Gladly again!
