The Eifelmaar Youth Hostel in Daun is a great place for a relaxing stay in the Vulkaneifel. The location is beautiful – in the middle of nature and close to the maars, perfect for hikes and excursions. The rooms are clean and functional, ideal for families, groups or solo travelers. The food is varied and tasty, and there is always a good selection, including for vegetarians. Particularly noteworthy is the friendly team, which is always helpful and welcoming. A perfect base for exploring the Eifel – absolutely recommended!

Beautiful JH located just outside of the city. Makes a very neat and clean impression. Unfortunately something went wrong when we checked in and we left before our planned overnight stay. Therefore I only give it 3 stars. But we would like to try it again.

I arrived there with a group of pilgrims, it was a bit restless. There were at least 30 of us. Rooms were good. We have had completely different experiences at other YOUTH HOSTELs.Of course the staff is overwhelmed, who wants to take care of unfriendly "guests"? They tried hard to help us in every situation. There are enough hotels in the area, but the prices are different. Want to pay little but demand 5 stars. The food was of course not worthy of Michelin stars, it was simple, warm, and you could even get "second helpings".We had the conference room for our prayers and cozy get-togethers.We'll be back.

I can only recommend this youth hostel! The location by the forest makes the youth hostel pleasantly quiet (the staff can't do anything for teachers who don't have their school classes under control - however, the teachers were asked about the behavior of their students by the staff on the second day, so that's another plus point for them the management)My room was quite small, but very modern and tastefully designed, completely sufficient for sleeping - you don't really need anything else on vacation. There is only a limited amount of storage space, but it is sufficient for a few days. Each room is equipped with a bathroom and shower, which I personally like very much.I was pleasantly surprised by the food - I didn't necessarily expect such a large selection in a youth hostel. It's worth booking half board.Every evening there is a buffet with salad, soup, various dishes - also vegetarian or vegan, bread, cold cuts and dessert. The selection at the breakfast buffet is also absolutely sufficient. Including fruit and vegetables and various hot drinks.Since almost all the guests left on Sunday, I was in the youth hostel in the evening with two other guests, but everyone received a bowl of salad, a cup of soup, a large portion of casserole and dessert. For breakfast on Monday, there was one plate each for the three of us Prepared with plenty of cold cuts, vegetables and even 2 boiled eggs.Thank you again for that!WiFi runs smoothly throughout the house. The bistro is cozy, a good selection of drinks (and snacks) at very fair prices. The only negative point: the floor of my room had not been swept/vacuumed properly when I arrived. But that's the only negative thing I could say about this youth hostel...I would come back at any time.

Me and my class were at the youth hostel in Daun. The children's rooms were really bad, there was food under the blankets and wet mattressesAnd we could hardly sleep because we were screaming all night long and the view wasn't as nice as the pictures. We won't go there again.
