We stayed at Steidles for 7 days with family and friends and would like to come back next year. A great location for excursions and bike tours for 7-10 days. Swimming lake within bike reach and pony riding for the little ones.To respond to criticism from other users: The farm is on a small road where animal transport or tractors rarely drive, but that is simply normal in the region. All farms are like this. And the fact that the pony riding doesn't take place directly at the house (but 150m down the street) is also OK, after all it's in a riding arena. The owners want to make horse riding possible for the little ones and it's really great as it is.We'll definitely be back

Some tips for a pleasant stay:- Check dishes before use; Maybe rinse everything with the new dishwasher 👍🏻- Bring still water to make coffee/tea, as tap water is currently being chlorinated- Pack the shower tray insert, the built-in shower cubicle hangs a bit crooked and is extremely slippery- You should have a head for heights for the high outdoor staircase with metal gratings- Due to the directly adjacent street, smaller children must always be supervised (there is little traffic, but trucks also drive through)

Wonderfully simple accommodation with everything you need. Loving family business run with a lot of passion and species-appropriate husbandry. Children can and should be children. The surrounding area also offers so many possibilities, simply a wonderful holiday experience.

We stayed on the farm for 14 days in June and we liked it.The house with the apartments is approx. 150m away from the riding arena and can be reached via a small road with little or only slow traffic. The apartment on the 1st floor was simple, but clean and functionally equipped. In the hallway on the 1st floor there was a large play area with a children's kitchen, a doll's bed and a historic school desk.Mobile cell phone reception is non-existent. There is a wide range of flyers, maps and other information on the ground floor for planning excursions and routes. There is also WiFi now, so research or booking tickets is also possible from a PC. Further information was also available from the farm owners. The riding lesson, which is offered from Monday to Friday mornings, was ideal for this purpose. Here we received a lot of useful tips about excursion destinations, parking options and the like. There was an Indian teepee with a fireplace near the riding hall for playing. Behind the house itself there was a goat stable with three very curious and sometimes very cuddly goats. A rabbit hutch with 6 rabbits, a chicken coop with countless chickens and a pig sty with 3 pigs. We weren't allowed to feed or pet the pigs, but they were still very popular with our youngest. When it came to the chickens, our oldest was allowed to go in with the hostess and hold some of the animals in her arms. We were allowed to feed and pet the goats and rabbits. The children were allowed to do this, for the protection and well-being of the animals, but only under adult supervision. The garden was rounded off with a climbing tower with a swing and slide, as well as 2 small wooden horses. Next to the house there was a “garage” with many vehicles for children and adults. The street directly in front of the house is very small and is only used very rarely and slowly, so we were not afraid to let our children play outside alone. In front of the house, 2 large tables with benches and a porch swing invite you to linger. There are also tables, chairs and loungers in the garden that invite you to linger. For grilling, there is a charcoal grill in front of and behind the house, which can be used at any time. The highlight for all the children was pony riding in the indoor riding hall. This takes place on specially trained and very tame ponies, which are of course cleaned beforehand. Since there were usually more children than ponies, they alternated after 3-4 rounds. There were lots of sand toys for the waiting children to play with in the indoor sand. All in all, we were very satisfied with the farm, the apartment and the hosts.

We spent 9 nights here and were completely satisfied. The accommodations, functionally furnished, actually offer most of what is needed. The beds were not worn out and the apartment was clean. The cell phone reception in the house is limited, but thanks to the freely accessible WiFi, this wasn't a problem for us. We were even able to stream perfectly via the tablet! The possibilities here are diverse. You can walk in nature, ride a bike, enjoy the horse stables, marvel at goats, sheep, in our case lambs, as well as rabbits, guinea pigs and chickens and experience them up close. There are also a few cats...riding in the mornings was a very special experience, possible at any time of the year thanks to the large hall. Here the little ones also have the opportunity to simply play with some toys while others ride. The owners were always friendly, polite and committed. We therefore cannot understand the older, sometimes negative, experiences at all.Of course, the little ones also get a few rules explained when dealing with the horses/ponies, we thought this was great; safety first for EVERYONE! The ponies were allowed to be petted, cleaned and provided with hay/straw. You could also be there up close and help with the morning stable duty if you wanted! The Lake Constance region is definitely prepared as an alternative to farm life. There are many excursion options. Flyers and offers are displayed in the holiday apartments and the owners were also able to give great tips. At our house (Owl) 670km away it was calculated during our vacation; The Lake Constance region had sun every day, wonderful! There was also the option of charging our electric car directly at the farm and at a fair, affordable price. We even found it better that the horses and the farm were about a minute's walk away, depending on the speed of the children. This meant that the kids could move around freely in the garden part of the holiday apartments without agricultural equipment crossing their path! That's why we found this separation to be very positive and professional!Of course, you shouldn't expect a luxury holiday, but if you want to explore the area, like animals and horses and want to give your children their first experience with horses/riding, this is the place for you, especially families with smaller kids! Price/performance is definitely right!Thank you for the great family vacation that we can only recommend to other families on this farm!

We didn't vacation at the Hubertushof, but live nearby and bought an Icelandic mare/young horse there last year. We are very happy with it. At 1 1/2 years old, the horse was already halter-handled, good at loading and well socialized. We are very happy that we found the Steidles and were also extremely satisfied as adjusters. The family finds a solution for every problem and is always friendly and helpful. We can only warmly recommend the farm as a breeding and breeding facility. Thank you dear. Steidle family!

The Hubertushof Steidle is in a quiet location. The riding stables and the holiday accommodation are a few minutes' walk from each other. Many towns and Lake Constance can be reached within a few minutes by car or bicycle. Pony riding takes place daily in the riding hall from 9.30 a.m. The holiday apartments are located in converted stables and are functionally furnished. Behind the holiday apartments in the yard there are goats, rabbits and chickens as well as a sanitation box, a climbing frame with a slide and swing. Various vehicles are also available, but they are quite old and need to be serviced. Seating is available in the garden and under the canopy. Two grills are also available. You only see a little about the farm itself. So the farm is not ideal for families who want to be right in the middle of the action. Our conclusion: Fair price-performance ratio in appropriate accommodation. Young and old had a lovely time.
