At the Gasthof Steineck you feel welcome from the first minute. Christian and his wife Annika run the house with a lot of passion and make sure that you feel at home. The warmth creates a very pleasant atmosphere in which you enjoy spending time.The menu is varied and the quality of the dishes is impressive across the board. Particularly noteworthy are the tartare and the delicious cream chanterelle soup - both dishes are an absolute highlight and really impressed us! The ingredients are fresh and perfectly balanced. The chanterelle soup is creamy, rich and full of flavor - just right for mushroom lovers.The inn itself is beautifully designed and exudes cosiness. It's a wonderful place to switch off and enjoy. Particularly noteworthy is the cleanliness - from the tables to the toilets, everything was always well-kept and inviting.Overall, we had a fantastic evening at the Gasthof Steineck and will definitely come backcase again. For anyone who appreciates good food and a warm, welcoming atmosphere, this inn is definitely worth a visit! Absolutely clear recommendation!

The food is now terrible. Family celebrations completely overpriced. All clubs were scared away. Annoyed host, completely arrogant. It's good that the customer is only looking at the scenes. Hygiene is zero.Too bad for the village.

As a group of 6 people, we visited the restaurant in the evening and found it very impressive that the owner cooked and waited tables that evening.We started talking to him, which turned out to be an entertaining, extremely pleasant stay. The food itself was very tasty for everyone, so we are happy to recommend it to others and will come back.

Restaurant, no roomVery good and friendly service, who sometimes have funny or serious conversations with the guests. You have to wait a while for the food because it is freshly prepared, which is definitely worth it. Fresh ideas have been incorporated into the dishes and it's worth choosing something you don't know yet. All dishes are fresh and very well-balanced. We noticed this particularly when preparing the salad: the dressing was so good that it allowed the accompanying white wine (I chose a blend of Riesling, Chardonnay and Sovignon Blanc) to develop well and not "flatten".In our opinion, the price-performance ratio is also good. I've known quite a few restaurants over the decades, this is one of the really good ones!

The food is absolutely top class and the owners and the service team are always extremely friendly and personable. By far our favorite restaurant in the region! The menu offers something for every taste. It's upscale home-style cooking with that certain something, the food is always perfectly cooked and seasoned. You never have to wait long, even though everything is freshly prepared. Tip: It's also worth trying the vegetarian dishes for meat eaters. And despite the generous portions, a small dessert is usually still possible. Thank you to the Steineck team for many enjoyable evenings/days! See you soon

Dinner for five, including two vegetariansToday we ate at Gasthof Steineck for the first time. Very nice atmosphere, super friendly, very attentive service. Absolutely perfect craftsmanship came out of the kitchen!The homemade truffle mayo as an amusement gueule was really good and gave us hope for great things.The side salad was typical inn, but the rest was rather atypically good! Steak exactly as requested, nothing on our plates indicated a finished product. The Schupfnudeln were definitely hand-twisted. Absolute recommendation for this kitchen!The best thing about the menu: the vegetarian part! Convincingly creative, great ideas, best selection! Not a bit neglectful, as is unfortunately often still the case. Ultimately, the part of the menu was the deciding factor that we chose this restaurant today.Waiting time was also completely fine. The slightly higher prices are absolutely justified for this meal!Our clear recommendation in the area!

It's nice and comfortable to sit here. The inn is right on the main road behind the railway crossing in Ottbergen, making it easy to find. Parking spaces are available.The food is delicious, the price/performance ratio is right. You feel comfortable here!

Great food. Nice service. This is really good cuisine, with dishes that sometimes change seasonally and ingredients from the region. This is really worth it. In addition, the atmosphere in the restaurant has a rustic cosiness. We love going there and have never been disappointed. We can highly recommend the Steineck. But don't forget to book a table in advance!
