Beautifully located place between Werrasee and Werra. Good-sized camping pitches, sanitary facilities always clean. Friendly staff, we were able to choose the pitch ourselves (mid-September) and easily extend our stay. Good shopping opportunities within walking distance or by bike. Bicycle and hiking trails from the site with very good signage.

The place is really nice, clean and well maintained. The sanitary facilities are also clean and well maintained. What I didn't like was that a Berger article shop was advertised and turned out to be a mini wall shelf at the reception. Would have needed one or two... The food in the bistro was good. Eschwege is very easy to reach on foot and is really worth seeing.

A very nice, quiet, well-kept place with a small restaurant.The parking spaces are sufficiently large.Electricity and water are in the immediate vicinity.Partly shady with medium-high trees.The ground is a bit difficult and only allows pegs etc. with difficulty.The immediate proximity to the Werratalsee with its beach and the SUP rental station is very advantageous.A variety of water sports are possible.There are two easily accessible washrooms which are very clean. The equipment is more functional than modern, but completely fine.Gassitor and the adjacent Werratalweg allow for lovely walks, including into the nearby town.There is a dog shower in the entrance area and dog stations.The ladies at reception are polite and helpful.I could imagine spending a short vacation there again.

It wasn't that nice. Until 11:45 p.m. only private cars 🚗 on the motorhome parking space and with loud music 🎶.

+ clean sanitary facilities+ beautiful location by the lake and the city+ Power connection on the tent meadow, if you have a charging cable that is long enough- Continuous sound, e.g. with “Disco into the weekend” in the sanitary facilities- close (a few hundred meters) to a youth hostel & a canoe club: played music so loudly until after 10 p.m. that you could hear every word of it on the campsite- Hardly any trash cans & no covered seating for tent campers, cyclists... on the site- At €19.30 for 1 person + tent per night, far too expensive, elsewhere you pay €9 to a maximum of €16- Tent meadow is right next to the sanitary facilities & on the dog walking route -> still loud for a relatively long time- advertise with a camping kitchen and laundry room (that's why they were actually chosen), which, however, are only 4 hotplates on which water takes forever to boil and without a pot, kettle or similar, washing machine and dryer and a bunch of sinks or sinks without plugs -> Completely unsuitable for cyclists with handwashing and at best a stainless steel bowl in their luggagePretty disappointed... Won't be going to one of the KNAUS camping parks again

We really liked it there. Ok, the price is a bit higher, but the plots are very well maintained and the washrooms are clean. Bread service and a bistro. Beautiful bike paths and not far to Eschweg's old town. There is all the shopping you could want there.Online booking is also beautifully done.We only live about 50 km away and will definitely come back.

The place is not worth the money. There is hardly anything on offer other than a nice swimming spot at the lake. No paradise for children. For adults who want to ride a bike and enjoy their peace and quiet, it's possible, but it's far too expensive.

The campsite is well placed for visiting the old town, or following the Werra cycling route on which we had a good ride in each direction. There are the usual facilities and free WiFi that worked well. The ACSI discount rate is the maximum plus extra tax, making 31 Euros, on the site itself. Preferred this to the insecure Stellplatz (cheaper, but with metered electricity and minimal facilities). Didn't try the site Bistro, as prices were high, staff unfriendly and other guests noisy.

Attention, website is wrong!!!!!!! This place is really nice, but. There is a small self-service market on the web, Berger Shop!!!! Neither is present. The bistro is nice, but the owners don't feel like it and are "mouthy". I waited 35 minutes for a beer. 3 people were in front of me. So I left it with a beer (you have to get the food and drinks yourself). I don't think the KNAUS company knows what's going on in this place. To get to the old town you have to walk 2 km. But the old town is worth taking a look at. All in all it was pretty good. Please be sure to update the website so that campers do not arrive under false statements.

Suitable for caravans and motorhomes, the floor is a disaster for tents. Getting pegs in there is a gamble. Even screw pegs fail on the ground.The “Kinderland” animation tent is a tent that is used as a storage room, there is no animation for children during the holidays. The washhouse is clean, there is nothing to complain about, but it is too small for the size of the space. Definitely not a 5 star place for me.
