Ate there with six people and was very disappointing given the good recommendations.Schnitzel "from Eifelschwein" on the level of a chip shop: thawed ready-made schnitzel. Nothing beaten, breaded and fried in the pan. Dry and chewy.Beef "from Eifelrind" was cold, dry and tough for all four people who ordered it.Price/performance ratio unacceptable. No recommendation! Too bad!

Wonderfully quiet. Good area for walking. Half board is recommended, because the price-quality ratio is very good. Enjoyed all the explanations about the wines and also help with walking routes. Extensive breakfast.

Many delicious dishes made from beef, but also vegan, children's menus, domestic products under the Eiffel brand. What impressed me the most was that the chef came out of the kitchen and came to our table and asked us how we were feeling and if we were satisfied with our dinner. Nice gesture, this is how he does it with all the customers who cross the threshold of Gasthaus Herrig. Thank you Mr. Thomas Herrig!

For the second time, it was a completely successful deluxe hiking experience.In our opinion, the gastronomy has stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️character. The renovated rooms are very tastefully decorated.The hospitality provided by the Herrig family and their staff is excellent.We would like to come again.

Quaint restaurant with guesthouse in the heart of the Eifel. Ingredients predominantly from regional origin and production.Meat is very good, side dishes also taste great.Meat and pizza are always on point, side dishes and desserts taste as they should.Extra point for chicken from Lausberg:Poulade was not too dry, nice and crispy and juicy.

We know the Gasthaus Herrig from various celebrations in the past, sometimes with, sometimes without an overnight stay and also from an overnight stay on the way to a holiday in the south of France a few years ago. And we really enjoyed it every time. The food is first class, the service is very friendly and courteous, the atmosphere is very pleasant and beautiful. We can only highly recommend a visit to the Herrig inn.

We booked the “DeLux Wandergeuß” package and spent a wonderful time in the Eifel at the Gasthaus Herrig. The rooms are attractive with their own small terrace, the breakfast is very lovingly prepared with the promised Eifel specialties. The evening 4-course menus left nothing to be desired and were extremely good. We have rarely experienced such a good wine tasting, entertaining and very interesting. The innkeepers and the entire team put their heart and soul into it, are very friendly and accommodating. If you want to go hiking in the beautiful area of nearby Luxembourgish Switzerland or visit nearby Trier, you will find everything you need to have a wonderful time at Gasthaus Herrig. Absolutely recommended, we would love to come back!

Was there as a guest at a wedding.Very nice location. The boss's tone towards employees and guests is absolutely unacceptable. For her, the guest is definitely not her top priority.It's a shame for the boss who tries very hard.
