One-night stay in this traditional farmhouse hotel. We liked the quiet location and the good bed, also the cleanliness. We agreed with the other reviews about the unfriendly restaurant staff, none of them seem to want to be there, let alone let you feel welcome. On a positive side, beautiful garden and very good breakfast, too.

Amazing place. Silent location(30 minutes walk from shop),golf in hotel, near the Autobahn. The restaurant in the Hotel is just brilliant(they prepared lunch boxes because of our early check out). Dogs are allowed, and the place is lovely for them.

This is a lovely old converted farm house (verging on a Manor House) in absolutely beautiful grounds in a quiet location some way outside of town. …

I stayed here over new year's as I was looking for a quiet place with a good kitchen, but my favourite hotel in Bad Bentheim was fully booked already. The hotel is situated nicely, in the rural outskirts of Bad Bentheim. …

Bedbugs. It still is a thing, at least in this hotel. We have not had a good nights sleep and the management is not around to complain about it. During the weekend there is enough staff - during the week they are severely understaffed. Also, allthough you pay the same amount, the choices in food are larger during the weekend than during the week. The facilities were all closed - no solarium, no sauna and no admission the golf course possible. If it weren't for the very friendly staff who do their best under this horrible management it'd had been a complete distastrous long weekend.

We were bicycling through the Bad Bentheim area, and found this "landhotel". The garden (with golf course) and the building are amazingly beautiful, but the service was unfriendly. We had coffee (good) and apple pie (very good).

A beautifully situated hotel just across the border, with lots of greenery and beautiful gardens. The hotel is really a picture from the outside. Attractive and beautifully maintained grounds located next to a golf course. However, it also has significantly less sides. The staff in particular is very variable. People are generally friendly, with the exception of a few people. And the treatment is not necessarily customer-oriented.That started with the fact that we arrived earlier than we could check in. We had indicated this in our booking on booking.com.At most hotels you can already check in and put your luggage in a luggage room. Now we were already 'stopped' outside the front door by an employee who irritatedly said that we were not allowed to return until 2.30 pm.The room was fine, pleasant and spacious and the mattress was good. Fairly clean, although the corners here and there were missed. The toilet did not flush very well.We had dinner in the restaurant one evening. That was extremely pricey and the portions were exorbitantly large. The food and choice were also a bit disappointing. When we showed up for breakfast on the last morning at 9.10 am, the reaction was very irritated, because people thought it was annoying that we were 'the last'. Mind you, breakfast is between 7am and 10am (so we were plenty of time), and we were there for a weekend holiday. The whole idea of a holiday is relaxation, so why people felt it necessary to speak moralistically to us is beyond me. Unfortunately, this is therefore not worth repeating.
