We booked a witch's cottage for two nights and were thrilled. The houses are new and luxuriously furnished. Overall very clean, comfortable and everything was there. Crockery, cutlery, coffee machine, kettle and refrigerator, dishwashing liquid, tea towel. Bathroom and shower clean with shower gel, soap and hairdryer. There were lots of sockets and lots of hooks for jackets and other things. We ordered a breakfast basket in advance and ate it all day. In the evening you can eat well in Annweiler. If you are looking for a rustic pub, definitely go to the Kaisereck.

We spent a weekend in the Gretel. The little houses (2 pieces) are appropriately called Hansel and Gretel. Right from the first moment we were absolutely fascinated by the house and its construction. Not for a longer stay as everything is really cramped, but it's great for an overnight stay. The facilities are also really good. Nespresso machine including capsules, as well as tea is on site and there is a small refrigerator. You can get to the loft bed via a ladder. After so many years without a loft bed, it's something to get used to but at the same time a very homely childhood memory, which makes it even cozier. The service and reception at the Jugendstil Hotel Annweiler was also very friendly and accommodating. The location is absolutely excellent, except that you have to climb almost 100 steps to get to the houses. These are usually illuminated in the dark via buttons at the beginning and end of the path, unfortunately the lighting was defective in our case. But otherwise a wonderful stay and if we are in the corner again, we will definitely be there again.

We can also agree with the good reviews. Very nice, cozy and furnished with attention to detail. Very quiet, and many options in the surrounding area. Breakfast basket more than sufficient. A great place to relax and unwind. We will be back definitely.

A fairytale witch's house (one of two) called Hansel and Gretel on the edge of the forest. For the first time we spent a night in the witch's house, which we found by chance. The little house is for everyone who likes fairy tales and enjoys innovative variety and seclusion. Super beautifully furnished, incredibly well thought out and visually very appealing, like a real house from a children's fairy tale.Positive:- very clean and well maintained- Everything you need is available: towels, soap, toilet paper, coffee, tea, cutlery, etc.- Gift basket: a bottle of wine, water and a cake 🍰 very thoughtful and we were very happy!- very nice and helpful staff- Lots of hanging options/coat hooks- Fairy tale books: good idea to offer fairy tale books with classic fairy tales - of course we read "Hansel and Gretel".Negatives:- The breakfast basket was not left in front of the witch's house as announced, but in the villa/inn in the basement hallway. It took me quite a while to find it and the coziness was lost as a result. The misunderstanding was discussed and resolved- Breakfast is varied but in my opinion quite expensive at €17 per person- No WiFi reception at the witch's house - this is only available in the villa that is part of the complex- Location: it's beautifully located, on the edge of the forest, but very close to the inn, the street and therefore to public traffic (occasionally people came by to take photos of the house) - I think it would be ideal if the witch's house (like in a fairy tale) would actually be "in the deep forest" to strengthen the feeling even morePrice:A night in one of the cottages costs €196 (space for 3 people). Everyone has to know for themselves whether it's worth it, we thought it was definitely worth it!Conclusion:We would love to come back and let ourselves be enchanted by the flair of the witch's house!

Beautiful facilities, quiet and cozy location in the forest. Everything you need. Only the path from the parking lot with almost 90 steps needs to be carefully considered.

Very nice little accommodation. Two small houses are in the garden of a villa right next to the forest.||Very nice to switch off, to cuddle, to enjoy. …

It was unique and beautiful. Breakfast also has something for every taste - even with a delivery service. (But it could also be due to Corona) Peace and quiet, far away from the hustle and bustle, without TV and radio - but LTE works :)

A beautiful house right on the edge of the forest. The house is furnished with great attention to detail. The breakfast basket also leaves nothing to be desired. We'll be back. Simply wonderful.
