We were there for a long weekend. Mr. Friedemann is very friendly and nice, the rooms are clean and big enough. We also had a balcony. We could have used the garden and pool, but we drove to the dam.At breakfast we asked what we would like. Very pleasant. The only drawback were the rolls, which were only fresh on the first day. But we survived it too. So no problem. All in all a great weekend for us.

Thank you for the lovely days here. The welcome was very friendly even if it was a bit difficult. Because I didn't receive the last email due to an error. We are so completely at peace. Many wishes for our children were fulfilled by the host. We were reprimanded a bit when our youngest was louder than allowed early on. But that's completely okay, after that it wasn't as loud anymore. Thank you for everything

We stayed at the Gockeschen Hahn for a longer period of time due to an assembly and were very satisfied with the accommodation and, above all, the friendly operator💯 percent recommended, also suitable for families 😀great starting point for many destinations in the region 👍👍👍👍👍

We chose the guesthouse “Gockescher Hahn” as the destination for our family reunion (June 18th-20th, 2021). Unfortunately, when we paid at the end of the weekend, we discovered that there had been an enormous price increase since we booked, which we had not been informed of (from €65 for a double room to €42.50 per person in a double room 🤔). From our point of view, the reasoning that everything would be expensive was incomprehensible. The rooms were in need of renovation (extra bed sagging, carpeting unhygienic, for example). The shower experience left a lot to be desired at over 30° and a lack of water pressure as well as a defective shower head holder. There was no soap at the sink - but there was hand disinfection👍. Ordering slices of cold cuts for breakfast wasted time and detracted from the holiday feeling. But perhaps pension holders also have to get used to companies again...

Cozy rooms, clean. Breakfast is nicely prepared and you'll be full too. We were here for the second time and would love to come back. The dog wasn't a problem either. We can recommend it without reservation.

Restaurant very small and uncomfortable...more like an ice cream parlor, but otherwise ok. I thought the small winter garden that belongs to the restaurant was nice. There is nothing wrong with the food, it was plentiful and tasted very good. I only find one thing to complain about: if you like normal coffee, it's ok, but if you have special requests, like a latte or, in our case, coffee with milk, you only get milk in your coffee. Some guests might take it the wrong way. Service was courteous and friendly. Thanks

At first we felt very well received, the rooms were tidy and the host gave us a friendly welcome. We were asked to keep the door closed at all times and felt like we were in good hands. However, we had the first negative impression after we received an uninvited visit from a rather large Rottweiler and his owner. Shortly afterwards, an angry Mr. X came to us in the garden and shouted that we should always lock the door... Shortly before, he had brought us a pair of barbecue tongs. Apparently I hadn't thought about locking the door myself🤔Our stay was topped off with probably the most expensive goulash in the world. The estimated price per kilo of the meat should be around 130.00 euros. We weren't aware that the valuable Kober beef was made into goulash. Every chef would throw his hands up in his head!

Yes, what should I write about the last two entries? The fact that people brought their own drinks and grilled food to the family reunion - other restaurateurs are certainly shaking their heads about that! - and then it was complained that at least for the use of cutlery etc. It goes without saying that a contribution has to be paid! The far too expensive goulash consisted of dumplings, potatoes, croquettes, imperial vegetables, Brussels sprouts and red cabbage and served 15 people. Getting upset about the price afterwards is absurd; a previous price offer would have helped. And one more thing, the room prices are on the internet, were accepted as such and there was no increase. In addition, a new faucet had to be bought and installed in one room because the rod was broken off by force, which is not a good way to do it either! The company had unrestricted use of the garden until late at night and left us a lot of rubbish. I wonder in which guesthouse this is possible? Conclusion, not everything that is written in a recession corresponds to the facts.Renate Friedemann

I can't recommend it. Arrogant, arrogant, unfriendly host. We wanted to attend Ascension Day (11 older men) in the late afternoon, not drunk!!! Have another beer and eat something if necessary, the landlord claimed to have just closed, although there were still guests sitting in the restaurant and in a cheeky way. Hospitable looks different.
