Bayernhütte am Brauneck

Almost too nice to be a mountain hut (I mean this in a nice way). The rooms are beautiful, spacious and clean, made with quality materials. The food is great, the hosts are friends, and there’s a sauna you can pay to use as well

Can I give this place 6 stars!? Beautiful location after a short 30min walk downhill from the Brauneck Bahn station. Walk past all the other places, this is the place to go!! The service is first class, friendly and fast. The view is brilliant and food is top!! I had what i call the 'stone age' burger. Home made bread, jam packed with egg, two cheeses and crispy bacon are just some of the things. The portions are super generous. The young lady that severed us went out of her way to make sure we enjoyed our meal. I will be back with my hungry boys for more good meals.

Just celebrated my father's 60th birthday by staying overnight at Bayernhutte and we had a great time. The rooms were beautiful and comfortable, the sauna was amazing, the food was tasty, and they even served a cake I had made for my father on a nice platter :)The only big negative point for us was getting to the place and back. We called three times before going to specifically ask how long it takes to walk there from the top of the gondola and how steep it is because my mom can't walk very well. We were told each time that it was a short 15min walk, mostly flat, and that if there was a problem with my mom, they would come get her via snow scooter without any issues. The walk was at least 30min at normal walking pace, the last part was super steep (going down a red slope) and required to cross a ski slope which was not super safe, especially for a slow walker like my mom. When we called to ask for my mom to be picked up at the top of the red slope by snow scooter, the person on the phone acted surprised and reluctantly came to pick her up. The next day, when we asked for her ride back, we were told no, that we should call the emergency rescue services because they did not have time. In the end they asked for 50 euros to bring her only half way to the gondola (just up the red slope); which we negotiated down to 30 euros. Honestly, this kind of ruined the mood and made my mom feel really terrible. If one of your staff promises something to the customer, you should be delivering, instead of making us feel like our request was unreasonable even though we had agreed on this option, and that instructions to get to the place were completely unreasonable. Our whole stay was amazing, but this really makes me wonder if I will come back...

…we stayed at the Bayern Hütte for one night and were completely thrilled. Totally nice service, rooms and atmosphere were great and the food and drinks were also very good. All of this at a really fair price. What more could you want? Thanks to Christian and his whole team.

Modern mountain hut with a large sun terrace and magnificent views of the Alps. The service is super nice and fast. The selection of dishes is large and the food is super tasty. We'd love to come back.

Today I went up to the Bayernalm for the first time because it's supposedly open every day. Was disappointed for the second time. Nobody there. You could edit your homepage and opening times. …

Really, really, really sad. After 2 hours of climbing with 3 kids, we found ourselves in front of a locked gate. There is no information on the website that the hut is closed. Instead it says, open Mon-Sun from 9 a.m. regardless of the weather.Probably not today.

The Good Lord has already done a lot right down here... A beautiful piece of earth.Stayed at the hut for 2 nights. Everything your heart desires is there. After the hike in the sauna and whirlpool, beer, food, hospitality.Thanks for 2 great days.
