Been in this guesthouse twice already. Lovely family owned place on the edge of the Thuringian Forest with a lovely view over the city Waltershausen. The restaurant is great with homemade Thuringian specialities and they offer a rustical breakfast selection for house guests. Easy to start walks through the woods from there.

We have celebrated family celebrations for up to 55 people, such as our wedding and various birthdays here. Not least because of the cheap accommodation options. buffet or menu; Both tasted above average, all guests were satisfied, the host catered to all of our wishes, especially when it came to children and food allergies. So here you can just celebrate in a relaxed manner, but even a normal visit to a restaurant is always a great taste experience. The menu is varied and also changes depending on the season. So overall, the Waldhaus leaves nothing to be desired.

The food was great! Very well seasoned and prepared. Everything is very well maintained, the terrace is also beautifully decorated. Friendly service. All around great and highly recommended. We were there with around 14 people for the school introduction

Despite the fact that there is a closed company in the house, we were still warmly welcomed. And unlike other restaurants, they weren't put off until the next time.Despite it being the start of school and the late time, we still had a really delicious meal!The atmosphere is really nice, "homey" and pleasant!The food also tasted very, very tasty and we were all full 👍I can really only recommend it :)We will definitely come over for dinner again. Just then not so late...
