Pension Strandvilla

We went to Baltrum for a long weekend (never been there before). The room completely met expectations and was even bigger than expected. The small kitchen is completely sufficient. The landlords are very nice and friendly. Absolutely no complaints. The location is very central in the Westdorf (although everything on Baltrum is central 😂).

Absolutely not recommended - very unfriendly landlord! 1 star!We have been coming to the island almost every year for over 25 years and have never experienced landlords like this.We were greeted by the landlady with “I already told my husband that he accepted a small child” - on a family island, mind you. We observed such greetings several times during our stay (not only referring to the children, but also to the fact that other guests only booked for 3 days - there was always something to complain about)The apartment was very large and advertised online for 4 people. Since there were 2 of us (plus a toddler - 1 year old), we spontaneously wanted to invite a friend to stay with us. This was not possible even after repeated requests. Absolutely incomprehensible and not guest-oriented at all, since the apartment is designed for 4 people and has a lot of space (4 beds, several sinks, kitchen, etc.) - the price is also clearly based on a 4-person apartment.There were also strange rules in the house: we weren't allowed to have other people over for dinner or a game night. No one was allowed to stay in the apartment except us - these were massive restrictions that were definitely unacceptable, especially for the price.We like to eat fish, but unfortunately frying fish was also prohibited in the apartment (there are prohibition signs hanging everywhere in the apartment) - very appropriate for a North Sea island...You should stay quiet in the hallway of the apartment from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 10 p.m. - this was also pointed out with large signs.In summary, this is a very unfriendly landlord and an apartment that never justifies the price. I therefore strongly advise against a holiday in this apartment and all other apartments from this landlord, as we also met guests on the island in the same house and in other apartments belonging to the family, all of whom had the same problems (unfriendly landlords with excessive restrictions) and clearly reported high prices.As I said, we have known Baltrum for over 25 years and have stayed in over 15 different holiday apartments on Baltrum, but we have never experienced such unfriendliness.
